Hi friends.
I started playing the thief and I have about 200 matches. I really don't understand how you guys survive...
Now I'm trying specter - this spec is more comfortable for me now. But I'm also need advices on this profession.
Can anyone tell me the basic combos and things to learn how to play? I have build only for power specter, condi is too hard for me (maybe I'm doing it the wrong way)

How to win in this game, I don't understand...
All I see are necromancers and guards. Sometimes I see rangers
Does everyone have to switch to them now? Where's the balance? A few years ago in the ranked arena, I could easily play mesmer and influence the victory. Now my mesmer or my elementalist can't affect anything in the match because a habinger or a wilbender makes me useless.
Why can't the developers see that some of the new specializations are terribly unbalanced?

I rarely see vindicators in ranked pvp. However, there are a lot of heralds. Are they really stronger? The herald has poor healing, and the staff has effectively no damage.

Either of these. Soothing Stone and Vengeful Hammers will also help you mitigate if you run Jalis. After the heal, Dome of the Mists will give you a period of time where projectiles cannot reapply condi to you. You still need to avoid attacks as outside of the above you have minor mitigation, and shiro stance has no mitigation at all. Since you can engage whenever you want as shiro though, you may want to only engage with Shiro stance when Jalis is off CD or close to it, so you can dampen any condi damage you take via swap.
I haven't played with the alliance, but now I'm going to try it. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Hey guys. I'm playing vindicator mostly now. Faced with this problem - do not live longer than a minute in battle with necromancers/thieves/guards/mesmers with condi damage. Is there any way to kill them or is it better to run away? Maybe there's something wrong with my build? I'm using the build from the metabattle. Need your advices!

I'm not sure about vindi's nerf.
First they increased the power coefficient of the nomad's advance, scavenger burst and spear, but then they decreased them again, is this profession so strong now? Is it possible to meet so many vindis in pvp?
