Punishments and most necro utilities that aren't wells or elixirs are garbage anyways.

It's hard to make boon strip utility skills relevant when necro scepter exists and it strips 3 boons, or power mesmer strips boons automatically with auto chain or alacrity revenant can just swap in Jalis/Shiro for Mallyx and bring Banish Enchantment.

In PvP it only removes one boon, maybe doesn't take away from your point but still. There (pvp) you'd need other options, so pushing up some skills aside wells to give said options would be nice.

Also, I don't think giving serpent siphon some ammunitions is going to help much this skill. The skill have a design issue not a hit rate issue. The "leave bundles that grant barrier on hit" is not something that's appealing, as the mechanism isn't especially appreciated no matter which profession have it.

I'd like this to get munition mainly for the buff counter, the barrier is less interesting to me anyway.

    There, that's bundles fixed.

And yes, that would somewhat fix the bundle issue for barrier anyway.

  3. Hello hello,

i'd like to suggest that this skill should be turned into a munition skill.

As it stands this thing feels weak in each of it's aspects and having a munition mechanic, maybe still with some short cooldown, would help a little at least.

As a buff counter it's simply outclassed by pretty much every other option and it's barrier rarely gets triggered on allies anyway.

  4. So, i just noted that this trait seems to be bugged again?

I was in lengthy battles with a friend of mine, spammed aegies left and right and i know it triggered on him, as well as me, with pretty much every hit because i saw the heal from Pure of Heart as well as the damage from Shattered Aegis, but this?

The buffs from Wrathful Spirit only applied to me and i know it worked on allies at some point since i played the same build for a while now.

    from the wiki:

Direct and condition damage done to the life force pool is reduced by 50%, but this damage reduction isn't reflected in the combat log or the damage floaters. Additionally, the necromancer naturally loses 3% of its total life force pool every second (4% per second in PvP).

EDIT: the primary use for SS is boon conversion/ripping not for the retal althought it was slightly useful in some spvp metas when a theif or multi hit class was hitting you as retal was a fixed damage number. Getting resolution will be a buff for SS and axe 3 ( i think)

Axe 3 is completely unaffected by SS.

  6. So, gotta ask, did this one go through untested?

What's the point of getting a buff that gives me 33% reduced condition damage while i'm in a form that takes no condition damage?

    To refresh your memory:

Cripple nearby foes and convert their boons into conditions. Gain resolution for each foe you strike. Converts additional boons on foes below the health threshold.

  7. This has been on my mind pretty much since the condition was introduced and i'm sad that not a single patch has adressed it so far.

Taunt was supposed to be the opposite effect of Fear, as in the inflicted creature gets interrupted and starts attacking the target that used Taunt on them.In theory this is fine and i think in PvP at least it works, in PvE however it seems to have no real effect.

While creatures get the "Interrupted" prompt shown above them and corresponding effects will trigger, on the mesmer for example, neither does a real interrupt happen, nor does the creature start attacking, for example, the Illusionary Defender exclusively. In fact, nothing much seems to happen, aside the mentioned interrupt trigger.

Am i the only one experiencing this? Is anyone else bothered by it?It takes a condition that many had asked for for a long time, before it's release, and in the one area where it should excel it pretty much fails completely.

  8. I'd like to ask, firstly, if i am the only one who thinks this weapon is in desperate need of a skill rework. And secondly, if we could ever expect one to come.

Honestly, next to two other weapons in this game this is, for me, part of the most boring weapons there ever were. It's a fire and forget kinda deal, you set your marks, maybe you'll even use your projectile once...you swap to your real weapon, rinse and repeat. The problem is that the staff does little, and what little it does, it does badly. With your first mark you can see that it once was thought to be a supportive weapon in it's own way, and in years gone by even number four was supportive (swapping conditions from allies around the mark to enemies).Your best skill is probably number five for it's amazing, if short lived, cc.

But it lacks in a lot of ways, support isn't really there, condi pressure can't be build up, it is the only weapon on the necro without a buff counter (despite one of the skills being named after a more powerful buff counter in the first game) and the trap like marks are just not a good mechanic for a weapon.

I don't have a full solution for this, i would hope, for one, that Chillblains would be changed to a heavy buff counter and maybe that Mark of Blood would be changed to pulse bleeding and regen instead of just giving both once.Maybe do something else with Putrid Mark as well as the condi swap isn't really the reason anyone uses the staff anyway, i bet most don't even consider it to the least, or noticed it even.

  9. Hello hello,

as someone who really liked leeching venoms as a trait for a long time now i feel like this was a nerf. The biggest problem being that it takes 3 whole seconds to get your first stack of spidervenom, not even to mention that the cdr on the other venoms is gone.Would you get your first stack with entering stealth, like other stealth-related traits actually act, i wouldn't mind it so much. But 3 seconds?Of course there's also the fact that this venom doesn't get shared. This i at least can understand somewhat but on the other hand, with the time it takes to get even one stack,it doesn't really help to keep us going in terms of damage, and for what it's worth, support (yes i consider this trait supportive).

Dunno... at least give us another stack right away? Or make the wait worth our while as 3 seconds doing nothing is quite long.
