[Dual pistol WvW roaming]

Has anyone had any luck with a roaming build for dual pistols in WvW? I'm looking for something survivable ideally.

So I do need to own Eye of the North? What if I already have the stone without owning that expansion? Would buying the core game suffice?

Thanks - I'm still a little confused as it seems to state in that article that I'd need the Eye of the North expansion in order to claim any rewards in GW2.

So, I've seen that, by linking a GW1 account to your GW2 account you automatically receive 3 points to spend. What I'm unsure about is which copy of the GW1 game I'd need. Would the core suffice, or do I need all the expansions? Can anyone confirm if they've received the points and managed to get the items with just the core game?
