  1. I personally very rarely experience toxicity in this game, outside of PvP (even then that has become less of a common occurrence for me). I have regularly participated in T4 fractals but I always join or create more casual appealing groups such as "Everyone welcome". I don't find T4 fractals really challenging enough to require the elite builds and group compositions that can often come accompanied by that more toxic elitist attitude, so I figure that's how I've avoided it thus far.

  2. Ascended gear is a 5% increase in stats over exotic, but that doesn't mean the people wearing it are 5% better players. Players wearing full exotic gear can, and do, overwhelm opponents who wear ascended, by making good builds and learning to use them effectively. I'll admit zergs are often messy and filled with the best copy pasted builds currently known, but they basically always have been since the game came out.

  3. Your regular healing skills do not heal downed players. The most common method of reviving players is simply by pressing "F" while standing on them. Alternatively there are several skills out there that can be used to assist with reviving downed players, such as "Toss Elixer R", an engineer skill.

You can basically assume if the tool tip doesn't mention healing, specifically, downed players that it will only heal players that are still up.

  4. Played since GW2 launched and I've had 2 precursor drops. One, The Legend, was from a random set of rares put in the mystic forge during season1 marionette (cause she dropped nearly a full inventory worth of rares each time the event ran). My second, Dusk, was about a year and a half ago that I got from a random mob on the Ascalonian fractal. I also won Rodgort's flame during a community event several years ago. All other precursors I have I either crafted or bought.

  5. As guilds are run by players than we must accept that some players will try to manipulate others for profit, however many guilds are run by players with good intentions. I'm a part of a community that does lottery, and they are transparent about taking a small portion of the money for use in guild activities ( food and banners, etc.). For years they have consistently done as stated with each lottery. That, I believe, is a great way to do lottery.

Alternatively I've seen another guild, mainly the leader, use lottery for personal profit. For example that player waited until after funds were received to claim that some money would be taken to benefit the guild. Shortly after the lottery the player was seen sporting new expensive skins that were not present before, while it was a friend of the player that won. No additional money or items were added to the guild bank as well.

So for short, some guilds and players will do it for fun and to benefit the guild, while others do scam. If you suspect a scam, do report the player.

  6. I've only used Customer Service 3 times since starting this game at launch due to issues with not being able to access the game. Each time I had communication from a human being who appeared to be perfectly fluent in English, my main language, and appeared competent in their knowledge of the issue and the game in general. My problems were always resolved in less than 24 hours. In my personal experience I would claim that they are very good at what they do.
