  1. I think OP may have confused two different achievements.

Ornate Rusted Keys are used on Sunken Chests and advance the repeatable Master Diver achievement.  You start the process by talking to Dive Master Astora in Lion's Arch:  https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ornate_Rusted_Key

Dive Master is a different achievement involving use of Diving Goggles found throughout Tyria.

I'm not sure how many people have the same issue as OP in regards to having so many of the keys however.   The swim speed infusions are nice, but not something I'd want to keep doing just to get.

  2. Gen 1 precursors (like Dusk) can only be crafted once because that crafting is tied to an Achievement that can't be repeated. Some of the crafting components of the Achievements can be re-crafted but you won't be able to craft a second Dusk. In that, your guildies are correct. However, Gen 1 precursors also drop randomly from foes and from throwing rares or exotics into the Mystic Forge. There are other sources which is also why other players talk about selling them on the TP. Unless you want to try your luck at flushing rares /exotics down the Toilet, your best bet if you've already crafted Dusk once is to save gold and buy it off the TP. After you have the precursor, the rest of the steps to make Twilight are the same as always.

TLDR: you can only CRAFT a Gen 1 Precursor once, but can buy it off the TP as well. You can make as many Twilights as you want as long as you have a Precursor for each and the materials.

  3. The Extra-Pungent Skyscale Treat is used on the fourth part of the Skyscale collections quests. It can be used while in the map for any of the "Troublesome Skyscales" achievement parts. You don't have to be IN the JP or even get to the end if you use a treat. It's meant as an alternative for folks who have difficulty with JPs and whatnot. If you have a treat and double-click consuming it doesn't work, check your achievements and make certain you don't already somehow have that part done.
    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Troublesome_Skyscales

Also make certain you've actually unlocked the "Troublesome Skyscales" achievement. You're meant to do them in order and it's possible to buy the treat off the TP without having the achievement unlocked.

Full SKyscale acquisition process is also on the Wiki: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skyscale#Unlocking

  4. Try right-clicking the items and look for the option to "Add to Novelties" or "Add to Wardrobe". They need to be unlocked/ added to the Wardrobe in order to be able to then add them to the Novelties slot on each of your characters.

You'll know it worked because they should disappear from your inventory.

All the other decorations (halloween, wintersday etc.) should be available the whole year or am I missing something?

SAB and zephyr is once a year npc wise, and hardgrinders are wintersday and halloween. Have u ever decorated a guild yourself with a small roleplay guild? Playing house is pretty hard, when u have to hardgrind these special 2 weeks a year while the rest of the year the candycorn and flakes are only accessable from a ridiculous tiny amount from your home ini or freakin expensive buying stacks from TP.

The Furniture Coin for guild hall decorations can be bought year round from the permanent NPC in Rata Sum if you have baubles saved up or have some from the home instance node. I wouldn't personally call Candy Corn prices on the TP "freakin' expensive", but the price may drop a bit now that the big demand for the festival is done. It's just a matter of being patient.

They did add a Zhaitaffy node for Home Instances this year, so there's always the chance they may add something for the Zephyrite tokens....someday.

  6. One set in Shared slots works best for me personally. I have another full set of infinite tools on my "casual activities" main. I'll hop on her to run through maps for harvesting and some quick dailies while I have something playing on TV. It saves the little bit of worry about forgetting to re-equip them into the Shared slots.

For that last spare pickaxe, as HnRkLnXqZ.1870 suggested if you can spare a character to sit at a permanent rich node, you can hop on once a day for a bit of bonus mats. Rich Quartz Node in Crystal Oasis is one of the better ones imo due to the Devs constantly giving us things to craft with Charged Quartz. And because there's no running around required -- log in, spend a minute mining, deposit and log back out. That node is also nice because if you ever move the character, it's not too hard to get them back to it later.

  7. If you're determined to not use the TP to just sell it, your best bet would be to set up an in-game raffle in one of your guilds.

However, any kind of raffle event runs the risk of devolving into accusations of scamming. Unless you're well-known in your guild and trusted by everyone participating, participants have no way of knowing for certain that you actually HAVE that precursor (pinging can be faked with item codes from the wiki after all), that the raffle will be an honest one and that the winner will actually receive that item.

The only time I've seen raffle-type giveaways for high-value items like precursors, it's been done by streamers on Twitch. And in those cases, they're not doing if for money for themselves, they're giving the items away free to their communities.

Otherwise, as DeanBB mentioned, you're better off just selling it to the highest bidder on the TP or going through one of those player-to-player trading guilds (also subject to risk if you don't have a trusted middleman).

Do you mean that you had unpacked / opened the single birthday gift box (the one that looks like a present) and had all the individual contents (special racial backpack box, weapon box, etc). Then you went to open those individual boxes and they disappeared from your inventory rather than giving you a backpack choice, etc? If so, did you have your account bank open at the time? If you double-click-open from the BANK window that shows your inventory contents, it actually throws that item into your bank instead of opening it. Maybe check your bank to make sure they're not sitting there?

  9. To the left of your character's picture in the Hero window there's a list of view options. If your Hero window shows only your character's picture with armor and trinkets but nothing on the left side, make sure it's not set to "Hero: Wardrobe" view or something else. "Hero: Equipment" is where it will show your stats.

  10. Also a random thought on a hybrid race idea: Team Survival Escort Race.

Put together a party with ONE very low level character. The max level teammates have to escort the lowbie to a specific (much higher level) map. The low level character becomes an aggro magnet, so the rest of the group will need to fend off foes and keep the lowbie alive to reach the end. The goal can be something like having the least number of deaths or accrue enough deaths to completely break all the low level character's armor (ie., reach the end naked)

I once asked a couple friends to escort a level 25 character I had just created through several maps to reach one of the JPs in Orr (this was years before things like Teleport to Friend stones). That low level character was drawing in foes from triple the usual aggro radius the entire way. It was a blast. There was alot of yelling and screaming, lol.

WE have a custom PvP arena, however its severely underused so that may be something to do

Since your guild seems to be on a "do things in your skivvies" theme, maybe naked PvP arena skirmishes? I believe the guild PvP arena uses your PvE gear and builds, so there's some possibilities there. Like...participants can only use white or blue weapons -- no ascended, Legendary or even exotic-level weapons. Or they can only use bundle weapons: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Purchasable_bundles. Throw in some arena obstacles and go (naked) ham.

  12. @Deedrick.4372 said:It is possible to have a single skin if you use statuettes to get one when they are available (if they ever where). You can also get the glyph from the TP. You pay for all 3 tools and get all three since its used on a character level. Unlike LS season packages where you get a discount for having partial account content.

That only works if OP's friend has statuettes and gets the tools themselves. I don't think you can gift tools bought with Statuettes -- they're probably account-bound on acquire.

  13. Provided you don't think your guildies would find it too morbid, naked Death Diving. My guild used to do them several times a year. Find a really high spot, have folks jump to their deaths with no armor on. Not quite like Darts in that the goal is to get the highest possible number when you hit the ground. Highest numbers win. We regularly had people getting double-digit millions in fall damage. Spots we've used: center area of Rata Sum, diving goggles in Silverwastes, top of the volcano in Mt. Maelstrom, top area of the Gilded Hollow guild hall, top of the scaffolding on the old Zephyrite ship from the first year or two of the Labrythine Cliffs. We also had special categories for jumping while in tonic form and costumes -- one guildie managed a screenshot of her character in an outfit that made her look like Mary Poppins in silhouette.

    Random trivia night

You could also try naked scavenger hunts. If you have some items in higher level maps, running to get them with no armor / weapons might be interesting. Or try a variation where folks can only bring low level characters. Caveat would be it would have to be maps they can get to easily, like from racial cities or lowbie maps.

If your guild has a Discord or social media like Facebook, you can try a "Where's Waldo" game. i.e. take screenshots of various spots in-game, post them to Discord, FB or whatever and let folks find those spots. My co-leader and I find this especially popular as our guildies get busier in Real Life and don't always have time for scheduled static events.

Set up an informal mount racecourse in an open world map, using assorted novelties or squad markers to outline the course. Can also be done naked if you want, I guess.

I know you mentioned not all your guildies PvP, but if you don't mind the expense a custom sPvP arena is an option. You can set it to private so only guild can enter and keep out unwelcome randoms. No one will get PvP points or progress, but if the intent is some in-guild shenanigans, it won't matter. And if you have a sufficiently upgraded guild hall, the guild arena works in a pinch too.

  14. Mounts are from the PoF expansion, so you would need to buy that in order to access them.

The first one (raptor) is unlocked by doing the first story mission of PoF, with the others unlocked as you play. Beetle comes from Living World Season 4, chapter 3 and Skyscale from LWS4, chapter 6.

There are temporary mounts available for "rental" during in-game Festivals. You can also rent a Roller Beetle from the Roller Beetle race NPC next to the various Roller Beetle races scattered across core game maps.

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mount

  15. The list of items varies from Guild to Guild. She isn't offering anything of interest to me today (no well, lattice or wagon).

That is decidedly odd. I check all three of the max level guilds I'm in today and it looked like they were all offering the same items in all the tabs. But I didn't realize that was a thing so it's probably luck of the draw today. Still, GL with the RNG for your Well and Wagon decorations!

  16. @Tails.9372 said:Here's the question: is this just EU or also NA?

This is definitely happening on NA.

Thunderhead Peaks for the last few months has had bad lag spikes. It's more common to experience lag than it is to have a lag-free experience. I have a few mules parked at the iron and plat nodes there and it's not always limited to happening around the metas. Harvesting lag, mounting and dismounting lag, character stuck-in-place-due-to-lag.....
