How hard do you think this is going to hit FIrebrand DPS? It looks to be removing a fair bit of burning and adding a minor amount of bleeds. Why remove burns from a class that literally has fire in it's name?

[Best Class for Heal/Tank in Raiding?]

My group is new to raiding and we're just getting rolling. We are needing to fill two roles filled, Tank and healer. I'm already the tank (quickbrand), but I think I could fill a healer role as well if I went Healbrand or maybe HealMech. We're still building our group and comp is flexible.

Any ideas as to what is the best class to both heal and tank?

Take Jagged Mind, it's quite a bit of passive healing if you are doing a lot of damage. Or take Inspiration and do less damage but even more healing

[Anyone else rather squishy with the Willbender?]

I'm playing with Willbender now and running my Ascended celestial set that I use on Firebrand. It feels really squishy, champions hurt now. More damage output but it's fragile.

Has anyone played with Vallun's celestial build yet? I've been playing with it a bit and it seems viable, but I would like a bit more dps. Any suggestions for adjustments?

[Batteries and Map Changing]

ANet, please fix it so that when I change maps I retain my jade battery charges. This is really annoying. What is the point of a battery if it loses the charges when you travel? Does your phone lose a change every time you leave the city?
Also, on that note. Why are there random batteries scattered all over the world and who changes them so frequently? Why not have charging spots like EV car chargers? It would make sense to have a higher capacity bot and less frequent charging locations.

[Suggestion/Idea - Make Kaineng a bit more 'lively'/populated]

I completely agree, the city feels dead. It's empty, I would expect 10x the numbers of NPCs wandering around. It's a handful visible townsfolk who never move and an incredible amount of empty space. Unfortunately I think the limitation is the actual game client and how badly it sucks when you have 50+ character models on the screen at the same time.

[Progressing the main story blocked by a jumping puzzle?]

This part (in New Kaineng) felt really forced. The devs were really reaching for a way to include a mount in the story even if it was this tiny part that makes no difference if you did it or not. Better would have been to include choices instead of railroad of linear quests that force you to use the raptor on what is similar to a JP.

Has anyone else come to the conclusion that New Kaineng is poorly designed? It was obviously designed around mounts and to showcase Jade tech. It was not designed as a living city and is rather shallow in my opinion, if not boring.

Why is it needlessly vertical?
Where are the wide stairs, ramps, and other easy access routes?
Where are  the people?

Unless the city was built after Jade tech was developed, why is the whole place designed around it? The city is huge vertically and there is no valid reason anyone would do so. Access is pretty much only available through zip lines and really narrow stairs. How are people to get around. How are building supplies to get from the lower levels to the upper levels. How does a farmer (no farms btw) drive a pair of oxen pulling a cart of goods to market?

This is obviously a modern style city with a lot of real life style ammenities which suggests a large amount of citizens. Look at all the tall buildings, they look like apartments for large numbers of people. The amount of NPCs is really low and combined with the really low player counts it makes the place look dead.

Overall I think New Kaineng is like a lot of EoD. It's flashy and cool looking, but both lack depth.

 

[Happy with your specialization?]

I've been looking through the various profession forums that I have level 80 characters and it seems most people are not happy with the released versions. After seeing that, it seems the general feeling is the extensive feedback threads were ignored.

 

How many of you are happy with the new specializations and which one really works well for you?

 

I'm honestly curious because my main specs were not noticeably touched after the last beta and most players were not happy back then.

[Virtuoso Prep - Power or Condi??]

So EoD is finally getting close and I'm looking at playing Virtuoso a bunch. I liked the beta but I did not really dig into builds with a critical eye. During the beta did anyone run the numbers and test builds?  Condi or Power for Open World,  Fractals, Strikes, Raids?

In my case monitor 1 is 1920x1080 15" gaming laptop, monitor 2 is a 35" ultrawide 3440x1440. Size and resolution on the second monitor is much better. I keep the laptop screen as monitor 1 so that when I disconnect from my docking station it doesn't rearrange my desktop. Also when docked I have a KVM set up on the big screen so I can swap that between my work computer and personal computer.

I want to keep the laptop monitor one and secondary screen as monitor 2, but I want to play the game full screen on monitor 2. Dragging the screen bigger will only go to 1920x1080 leaving a lot of the screen unused..
