  1. This is an honest question and an honest statement. The bots on this game have become out of control. Not only are they there, they are FLAGRANT and in your face. What are we supposed to do about this? If I report the nine bots I see every day I will get in trouble for too much reporting. Its disgusting and its sad that this has happened to this game. I have reported a few so far, but it clearly states not to report too much or you acct could be terminated. I guess we just let them ruin the game? I know the answer will be just ignore them. You all have spent a lot of time farming and making gold. This should disgust all of you.

You've done it 20 different days and no drop?  That's a little unusual, it can take several days, but odd to have it take that long.  Are you farming it on a character that has the story completed and full access to Bitterfrost or is it an alt with some elixirs (does that work, not sure)?

Yes. Full access to Bitterfrost. The potion made to go into the cold. Every chest opens. No suet.

  3. I don't usually ask questions here, but I'm about done. I don't even know if this is the right place, but I'm about to just give up. I have done EVERYTHING for Aurora. Its all done, except for the crystallized suet in the bitter cold. Twenty times. TWENTY TIMES I have gone in there and opened chests and got nothing. What could I POSSIBLY be doing wrong? PLEASE give me some advice. I just don't know what to do anymore. I quit trying this months ago because I just CAN'T get it. I tried again today for the 20th time. Nothing. I just don't even know what to say.

I've been playing since before HoT came out and I've loved this game, I have one of every class at max level, I got all of them through PoF and enjoyed the bounty trains and open world stuff, love world bosses. I tuned into every live stream from Guild Chat, I was there watching Rubi host the devs and designers.  I was watching when Connor killed the cat (noooo!!!!)  I'm your target demographic, someone who plays a lot and buys a LOT of stuff from your shop.

But I have now reached my limit... the DE meta has completely broken my spirit.

I just spent almost two hours on an organized map, with three different squads doing all three lanes, got everything tied up and reached the platform... did everything we could including lots of CC... and failed.  Again.

Another DE meta failure.  Another waste of my time.  Another event with nothing to show for it.  Another failed chance at getting the start of my turtle mount.  Fail.  Over and over again.

I'm sure there will be people here who tell me to "get gud".  I'm sure there will be toxic players coming here to say it's not hard and they've beaten it 8,437 times.  But that's not my experience.  That's not my guildies' experience.  That's not the experience of the people on the map who were literally just saying that the past two patches have FAILED to address it.

ArenaNet, the Dragon's End meta is not working.  All you have to do is play the game in that zone to find out why.  Maps have become battlegrounds between groups trying to organize meta chains and failing to get all their people in because the maps are full, and large swathes of players who don't want to do the meta and refuse to leave the maps because they have every right to play there, which of course they have every right to do... but that makes it even worse.  So people are now being blamed for not being elite players, meta groups are kicking people because they don't bring "alac or quick," and toxicity is VASTLY on the rise because of this conflict... and it seems nobody at ArenaNet is listening.  There's always toxicity in games, but I've never seen it this bad in GW2.  You created what should have been a fun event but is completely undermined by the fact that most of your players aren't raiders, then you put it into the open world and didn't plan ahead for the map issues and toxic behavior, and it's become such a waste of energy that all the people with their turtles will probably give it up in a few weeks.

Please... Rubi, somebody, tell your developers you're crushing the spirits of your players, the longer this goes on.  Stop listening solely to the people who are coming here saying it's easy and they've beaten it with five minutes to spare or whatever it is they tell themselves at night to keep warm.  Much of the rest of your player base is fed up, and it's only been two weeks since launch.  I'm so crushed by this that I don't even want to play anymore.

I couldn't have said this better.  It isn't the turtle mount that bothers me so much, its just the lack of any respect for the casual player.  I have been playing a little over eight years now.  I have been through all the metas and I really do enjoy most of them.  This meta is actually fun, but in the end I know I will lose.  Whats the point to that?  I have MAYBE one chance in ten.  I feel like Anet has really just crushed people who played this game for years as a hobby.  I'm not a bad player, but I'm no super raider and quite frankly I don't want to be.

It appears here that they are catering to five percent of the player base whom I avoid like the plague.  I really don't need the toxicity of it.  Did that when I was younger and I'm over it.  Like you, I just don't feel like I want to play anymore.

I have only failed in possibly eight groups so far.  That is seven groups too many.  I would like to never see that map again and its only two weeks old.

I'm not crying or ranting about this (although elitists will say I am) but I just feel somehow betrayed.  I always loved the stories, the map completion, wvw... almost everything.  Somehow this just feels like a boot to the gut of this old average player, who spent a lot of time and money on the game.  For the first time in eight years I'm debating about logging in again.

  8. I put in a ticket about my dx11 issues.  The game would constantly go to 1 fps almost as soon as I logged on.  After doing some technical troubleshooting it finally worked.. until today.  ANYTIME there is anything glowy (and what isn't glowy in this game) its BACK to 1 fps and another reboot.  I have sent in all the necessary information and my computer meets all the standards.  WHAT GIVES????

  9. So.. an actual question here if I might?  I have a pretty bad computer, but I am normally able to play the game.  The unit itself is only 3 yrs old.  When I enable DX11 I get 1 fps.  Yes.  One.

So the question I have is am I doing something wrong or will none of my accts be able to play the game when DX11 is mandatory?  I really didn't think this would be such an immense problem.

If anyone happens to have any decent information or ideas besides the obvious (get a new computer) I would just like to know please.

    Thanks.

I don't understand. You wanted to play with more OCX people, which you now can on your new server. You wanted to play with your SO, which you can on your new server. Both of your boxes have been ticked.

I made a move from Ehmry Bay which wasn't a terrible server but in certain times of the day I was finding our WvW population to be too scarce - and some of those times of the day would be prime time for AEST so the move just made sense.

I don't have that issue now....everytime I've logged in, I've had people to play with or at least around. I go to cap an objective and pretty much always end up having multiple friendlies either there already or that show up shortly after....and yeah, we're not winning every fight, but I'm not a solo player getting rushed up on by a zerg while I roam around anymore (and my guild is based in SoS - so it was pretty awkward when I unwittingly was in a fight with them while still on Ehmry Bay not long ago).

Did you move because you wanted to be on a specific server or because you wanted to ride a win for a session? It's not like a loss is a permanent thing - whereas whatever you saw as a benefit to switching servers is surely still there.

I moved because I was impressed with HOD and the way they fought.  I just liked their style, and of all the other servers I played against they were really the only one I thought of joining.  We don't usually have huge zergs.  We have a lot of Havoc squads which I like a lot better.  Not a lot of gankers and I can always find an open tag.  There's no real NEED to join a wvw guild.  Its just a really nice server in my eyes.  I had fought lots of them and they were the only ones that impressed me.  Now we are with Darkhaven and they are nice too.  I try to stay away from EBG and SMC because I like smaller fights and squads.  I can't seem to get away from it anymore though.
