[Staff needs buffs not nerfs wth?]

I tried to solo a T0 camp in wvw with celestial catalyst staff. Uff so much work and dodging and making sure my skills hit targets etc.

Tried to take same camp by a hammer was like butter, like how it should be.

Staff does need some damage numbers update if nothing else. 🙂

My guess is something like

A mechanical object (a stationary golem sorta) which is controlled like ventari tablet on rev. Probably pulsing boon/cc/projectile reflections/offensive stuff. Maybe control range of 1200.

Loved playing mesmer. Have 2800+ hrs on the class. Condition is not my play style (if you know what i mean, it doesn’t feel satisfying to me on any class). Power is the way to go for me.

I quit playing mesmer after 1 endurance bar removal. It was just…not necessary.

Its like “hey we have 5 terrorist in that country, just nuke the whole kitten country and be done with it”

The patch is majorly PVE oriented which has after effects/side effects on pvp and wvw. I think they will hot fix pain absorption with something before patch is live.

Yeah i took a break from my mesmer. I love playing the class but making it work in WvW for so long is like banging your head on a wall. Mesmer just dsnt work, i felt the same as OP stated. And this is the question always remains “am i playing bad?”. But then you change 2-3 other classes and you just feel fine (which means fair losses/win with way way less effort/planning compared to what i used on mesmer).

What scenario do you see yourself using chaos storm and armor? Like on downed person or on cap point. When fighting a mesmer chaos storm is nothing scary (bit of daze) but nothing major. Condition it puts gets cleansed with the other conditions that mesmer is dishing out anyways.

So i have been trying to play with hammer after seeing some posts on forum about hammer. I tried it in WvW in small group runs.Skill 1 is meh. 3rd chain attack is almost impossible to hit but decent damage (if it hits by luck).Skill 2 is good burst. I am using glacial heart.Skill 3 is hard to hit if target is moving. Misses easily.Skill 4 is fun to use if it lands. I dont like the fact that its single target.Skill 5 again a slow skill and easily avoided.

Yes hammer as a weapon is supposed to be clunky but there is not much to gain or a trade-off from being clunky. Longbow does most of hammer stuff from 1200-1500 range.The only reason i continue using it because no one expects a hammer guardian.

[Roaming on Mesmer in WvW is so frustrating]

Playing mesmer roam is straight up self torture currently. In no possible way it gets better. Tried power, tried condition, tried mirage and chrono. Only core left to try.
