Given me a lot of time on my hands 😉 Honestly its fun having fun playing games again, unlike when you boot up GW2 now.

The real question is, has anyone seen Lan? His last message was saying goodbye to you, has Lan been typing up a giant post ever since the update no one wanted and had people begging Anet to not release, released?

I don't really see how "listening" Keeps being a word used by Anet, when they didn't listen to the one thing that people were unified in saying, which was quite interesting to see. Every update I see know is just more damage control, I feel like the only reason a Hotfix has come out at all now, is because they were forced to do it, once again, to prevent so many people leaving.

Saw him the other night in a Dragon's End meta and he said he got a forum timeout.

Still trying to fight the good fight on warrior though.

At this point I think pulling in a random person off the street to do profession balance would've resulted in a better outcome...

As someone who played WoW for years and thought Blizzard's balance team was the worse, I have said Anet's team make them look like Rhodes Scholars.

  3. My ranger had a full set of Plaguedoctor's gear that I used as an all-in-one setup for OW, WvW and group play.

Testing around with the changes last night, the drop in might generation on Grace of the Land pretty much killed the OW build. Even though it's primarily condi-based, the quick build-up to 25 might really helped the build cruise along and powered flame and viper traps.

As far as group play, I did a few things with the PD and then tried out Celesital and overall cele just felt better.

My only "loss" (if you could call it that) was slightly lower healing power, but even that was negligible and allowed me to basically reuse the same gear I had for an OW cele build.

Overall it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but as you said our lack of stability is a liability compared to other supports.

As a side note, I'm also not really a fan of the celestial era that we seem to be in for every profession except Warrior. I don't know if the stat set is just too bloated or what, but it feels (to me at least) it's probably the best stat set for everyone's general use unless you're in hard-mode CM stuff where you need the specialized stats.

This is a good suggestion and all, but pillow fights are far too dangerous for CMC's PvP.

I mean, a pillow? That would do way too much damage.😰

But at the same time this would provide some good reasoning as to why CC is the way it is right now.

And wearing the blindfold would provide an immersive thief/engi fighting experience

You could catch a zipper in the eye from the pillowcase if the person was traited for it.

Of course, to fix this, they'll just give it a 300 sec CD and then forget it ever existed, or maybe even just flat out disable it like Chaotic Interruption.

Well I feel that's an issue with the game as a whole with the no "holy trinity" that you see in traditional MMOs.

I think due to that has been a big reason why balance (or lack thereof) has been very tough to do in this game.

All of them seem to be Scourges too, and they all do the same thing:
    1. Run into the middle of whatever map it is
    2. Cast a couple marks from staff
    3. Proceed to auto-attack for the remainder of the match

If one of your teammates goes down they'll try to run at them with the hard res, and they obviously make no attempt to try and kite or use any variance in skills.I know that PvP has been a complete dumpster fire for a few years now, but this really highlights what little ANet cares about the game and mode.

It's because people multi box with bot program and synch queue with their bots and then make their bots throw for them. They win trade with their own bots. This is officially out of control as of this 3v3 season to the point that you cannot solo queue or even duo queue without without having literal throw bots join your team, as they outnumber real player population like 3 to 1. <- That is actually happening. Don't 3v3 unless you have a 3 man premade of actual humans.

Ever wonder who those people are who stand around AFK near the trade post and bank area, who never talk, who never move, who are in the same spot for days on end? Yeah give it some thought.

I've even had TWO people recently say to me "Hey let's 3 man. Do you mind if a friend joins us?" and then some random kitten obvious bot joins our group that the guy is running and he proceeds to act like it isn't a bot when it is obviously a generic scourge barrier support spam bot.

As much as I love the mode over normal conquest, I can see why it would be so much more attractive to botters.

The reward chests may not be as much as 5s, but since the games are so much shorter they can still crank out an okay money per hour ratio.

Yep, totally the DH's fault that people are oblivious and waddle onto a point thinking it would be a 100% clear.

Too bad demanding nerfs doesn't make the remaining playerbase any smarter

what the hell. how is someone supposed to anticipate an invisible trap bomb? thats ridiculous. how about traps are made visible so some monkey spamming his entire utility bar on cd can't 1 shot people from the other side of the map in both pvp and wvw? is that too much to ask?

Gee, I don't know...maybe the same way they have since HoT when the spec was first introduced:

    • Dodge roll onto point
    • Use an evade skill when going onto the point
    • If they're a ranger, send pet on point first

I've done some combination of the above and it's worked out just fine for me.If I forgot to do it and get killed I blame myself for not realizing it when there's a DH on the other team.

But by all means demand those nerfs. I'm sure it'll improve your own gameplay dramtically.

No it can't. This is a really basic mis-understanding of how the game works.

On these forums? Never seen that happen before :p

SPvP needs a Feb 2020 level patch to be playable. I do not think that will ever happen. It is easy for devs to kitten up. It is far harder for them to admit they did and correct mistakes.

    SPvP in GW2 is done.

I get what you're trying to say, but knowing ANet they'll make it as bad as the Feb 2020 (or worse) and people will be begging for this garbage meta back =)

Basically Anet as anyone knew them is pretty much gone for good its just Ncsoft holding onto a few people who they didn't fire or who didn't leave with the mass exodus in 2019. So its essentially playing gw2 is no different than playing the original game now because its just that dead now population wise and creative/development wise as well. Plus they seem more interested in trying to enforce technicalities on copyrights on the new studio they are trying to make rather than moving on with this games development. Overall though we've basically seen what was going on behind the scenes with Anet and NCsoft and the result ended up becoming PoF and then both entities exploding on each other until it all fizzled out and died. It would be great if something good was happening with this game but I highly doubt its going to continue on much further might not even be operating a year from now.

Rumor has it that another expansions wasn't even something that Anet was going to do and that NCsoft forced their hand into making it.

Considering in both PvP and PvE that they've ran out of ideas a while ago, I can't wait to see what a clusterf* the new xpac is going to be

@Stand The Wall.6987 said:why? its simple: pve. our pve overlords complained about condis not being viable. true enough. biggest of all the brain moves: anet removes caps in all modes and never considers why that would be a really bad move. result: years of bad balance.

And guess what was before those condi changes? Exactly the same complaints. No matter how strong or weak condis actually are - the complaints are always the same. And it is and never has been a balance issue - it is an issue with player perception. There are always some outliers, but overall condi and power dmg are pretty balanced. If anything, power is and has been stronger by trend.

the big difference is that after the condi update the complaints hold more merit.

broken cloak is right twice a day

The real question is...what about broken capes?

Anyways necs are pretty much the only class that can play all specializations (reaper scourge and core all viable) and not be a throw pick in this game that alone says a lot.

    -wrong-

'in the continuation of the best builds series I introduce to you what possibly the strongest yet burn firebrand'

The video has the word "PvE" in the title...

Have you tried it in PvP?

There is no expertise amulet in PvP, not to mention all the trait and skill splits between the gamemodes. This build does not exist in PvP, there is nothing to try. Stop citing builds from other gamemodes, they are irrelevant here.

I think they means it's overpowered because they have the same game sense as AI mobs and stand in all the AoE
