  1. Hi guys :)

Just a quick question, is it possible to unlock some of the stuff that you find on the gem store (for example, the unlimited logging axes, sickles etc) or do you have to buy them?

Makes sense that you have to buy them with money, as there is no sub fee. But always looking to save a few pennies and do more stuff in-game ;).

    Thank you!

  2. I have been spamming PvP matches today and I have really enjoyed myself. I am using Dragonhunter specialisation along with Mace/Shield (and Greatsword when I am 1v1 with someone).

I have always liked the idea of being more of a support role, I feel I have really helped my team mates win matches with the heals and Aegis boons. However, I feel like I am lacking a proper build. also, I am not sure what stats I should be aiming for? And should I be using Dragonhunter or Firebrand?

Any tips would be great. Thank you :).

Glad to see you've stuck with it. :+1: As casual friendly as GW2 is, it nonetheless still has a learning curve like anything else. Heh, I remember after leveling my first character, a ranger, to level 80, I realized the point of using runes and sigils in my gear, and was sure to do so on my next character. How things change lol.

Damn straight! Casual friendly and I am a casual player so going from base game to HoT was hecking scary! Whenever I roll an alt, I will defo know a lot more wtf I am doing ha ;D

If you are a fresh 80, the first thing I usually recommend is to get a set of cheap exotic gear from the Trading Post that matches your build, i.e. Berserker for Power builds, Carrion for Condition Builds.

Guild Wars 2 doesn't have an "armory" system that allows players to browse each other's characters and builds, so if you can let us know what profession (aka class) your current level 80 character is, I'm sure the community will be able to suggest some builds to try.

I am a level 80 Guardian using the Dragon hunter specialisation. According to meta battle I should be using a Greatsword with scepter/focus. I have been mainly going for power, but not sure if I should be focusing on another stat :cold_sweat:

  6. Hey all!

Right, so I dinged level 80 about a week or so ago, I have tried jumping into end game content (mostly living world season 4) and oh my goodness, it is SOO much harder then I expected!

either that or I am just shit at the game (wouldn't surprise me, I really have no idea about my stats, build etc). I knew it would be more difficult but I am even finding it hard to fight normal mobs if there is more than one of them! I am not sure if you guys can see my character and build on here but if you can I would really appreciate some help!

    Many thanks!
