Its not a trade off, its more of a downgrade from core(i use core & mirage from time to time as well). Yeah chronotank on raid is something even though they made it pretty much harder to use it now, but should it die on other game modes as well? The clones instantly die on wvw to make use of the shatters. Mirage is better on pvp either on power or condi you name it. On fractals maybe skipping with portal for people but core and mirage can do it as well. DPS is not that good, phantasm takes a while to cast even with the quickness trait making them miss some of the time. Wells takes a while to actually activate making them miss allies/enemies not to mention theyre pretty lackluster as well(except well of eternity and gravity well) w/o using CS. Alacrity and quickness can be gain without chrono anymore, well its easier to apply both boons with rev/fb anyways and not needing to wait for the wells to activate. The one that should be "balance" is the mirage not the chrono.

With the recent uncalled balance changes to chrono on how the illusion and shatter works for it, I thought about something that is not gonna remotely straight out change the elite spec to balance it almost evenly with the core but actually make it more "dynamic" and "fun". Any better suggestions will be cool too!
Shatters: Revert the illusion requirements for the shatter skills, make the illusions shatter right away instead of finding a target. Shatter skills and illusion shattered also gives damaging effect for user if inside the affected area.Wells: Make the duration longer but the pulses has limitation per targets. (eg. 5 secs duration with only 2 secs required being inside)Spec:
- Minor Adept: Time Splitter - Gain access to Continuum Split/Shift, which allows you to revert to an earlier point in time. Shattering illusions also affect the user.
- Major Adept: (Removed Delayed Reactions) Out of time - Shatter skills give 1 sec of superspeed. Next phantasm skill inflicts 1 sec of slow)
- Major Adept: Time Catches Up(reworked) - Gain 3 sec of regeneration,swiftness and quickness when you get alacrity.(10 cd.) Regeneration and Swiftness effectiveness increased by 20%.
- Major Adept: All's Well That Ends Well - Duration and pulses per target increase.
- Minor Master: Flow of Time(moved) - Gain alacrity for each clone you shatter.
- Major Master: (Removed Danger Time) Time Heist - Interrupting a foe slows them and grants you 2 secs quickness and alacrity.(5 sec interval/cd)
- Major Master: (Removed Illusionary Reversion)Time Relativity - Applying slow or chill to a foe gives 3 seconds of superspeed to allies(5 targets) around you.(10 secs cd, 20 secs cd wvw)
- Major Master: Time Marches On(reworked)(moved) - Gain damage reduction while having each boon effects(alacrity, quickness,superspeed or swiftness).(5% each, 3% wvw/pvp)
- Minor Grandmaster: Improved Alacrity - Alacrity applied to you is stronger but has a reduced duration. (moved)
- Major Grandmaster: Time Lock(reworked) - Gain a charge each time you disable a foe. At max charge your next disable inflicts twice the duration and deals a non-critical damage. Charges 3(wvw/pvp 5)(charge duration 20 secs/ 5 secs wvw/pvp)
- Major Grandmaster: (Removed Seize the Moment) Time Dilation - Enemies you inflicted with slow and chill receive twice the effect.
- Major Grandmaster: Chronophantasma - Summon additional phantasm. The additional phantasm does not turn into illusion. (50% less dmg on wvw/pvp)SkillsUtility:
- Well of Action: (Reworked) - Now gives allies superspeed for the duration of the well. Allies inside break stuns and receive 3 secs stability(only once).
- Well of Calamity:(Reworked) - Now damages foes per pulses only instead of having a increased damage at final pulse. Each pulses apply one of each conditions randomly for 1 sec: cripple, weakening, immobile, slow and chill.
- Well of Precognition: (Reworked) - Now blocks projectiles for the duration of the well. Allies that goes in receive 10% damage reduction.(does not break stuns anymore)
- Well of Recall:(Rework) - Now also applies quickness. Removed damage and chill effect.Elite:
- Well of Time(removed Gravity Well): - Creates a well that removes stability to foes each pulse. Converting conditions to foes into daze(1 sec) per pulse.(cripple,slow,immobile,weakening and chill).Shield:
- Echo of Memory:(Reworked) - Block incoming attacks for a short duration. If this skill fully channels, summon a phantasm that slows enemies and grants protection to allies. If an attack is blocked, apply 5 quickness to allies while also making Deja Vu usable for a short time. Cooldown increases by 5 secs each successful blocks.
- -Deja Vu: Block incoming attacks for a short duration. If this skill fully channels, summon a phantasm that slows enemies and grants protection to allies. If an attack is blocked, apply 5 secs alacrity to allies.
- Tides of Time: (Reworked) Launch a wave of temporal energy that damages and stops enemies it passes through while also making your illusions push away from you. When the wave returns it also drags your illusion towards you. Reduce recharge by 5 secs for each illusions shattered for the duration.
