Hi everyone! Let's see if we can get Arenanet to notice this!

I drew up this warclaw skin idea. It is, indeed, a fanged lop-eared bunny. I don't think we have a single "cute" warclaw yet, do we?
Is it secretly a carnivore? Or are those big teefs and claws just to intimidate? That's up to you. 🙂 Just don't get on their bad side; they can and will mess you up!

(Also, as a side note. The skin has to fit the rig of the mount as best as possible, so it needed to have non-bunny hindlegs. You could think of this creature as a half-bear half-rabbit. I'm still very pleased with the design though!)

  2. The same has happened to me just moments ago. Like @Orai Tikari.3842 has said, find the GW2 clients in your background apps on task manager and only close the one that's using CPU. The other should then boot properly by itself.

Thank you Orai for the pointer!

  3. Just was in a public, and it went miles better than any squad I've been in. Still lost, but 3 out of 5, could have been 4 if it weren't for one platform not getting any players on it. Compare that to the squads I've been in where we broke two chains tops...

I was just telling myself people just need to learn the mechanics, but I'm starting to get concerned now.

  4. I also got the achievement with a good team. We had two Bannerslaves and two Healbrands, with one regular DPS. We would split the BSes and HBs into two teams to cover north and south of the bridge well ahead of the legionaires and leave the DPS to alternate between each side (though we found this wasn't really necessary as the southern side had very few destroyers spawning, so we left him to cover north). We even almost got the achievement done with all CMs active, so it's definitely doable with that kind of comp.

  5. It must be an illusion, but even though the swimspeed of skimmer seems slow underwater, it's the same speed as skimmer hovering above water, which is slightly faster than a raptor only running and not using its leap. People have already done the math but I checked by watching my minimap and I did not slow down when I submerged.

and also true, I never bothered with the swim speed infusions, so I imagine that must be part of why Skimmer seems disappointing if you did use them.

Ah I see. Thank you for that info. The bad ping is also gone now. :) This really doesn't happen often for me, but it can be very frustrating when you're trying to do something big like a meta. (Or well, I actually don't do metas very often, so it's kinda big for me)

  7. I rarely have ping issues until suddenly, it happened today. I play on NA and live in Europe, and my ping usually averages around 130, which is fine. I was doing the southern drizzlewood meta earlier no issue, then northside started, and my ping skyrocketed to 4000! Decided it's not my day for metas today, and left to divinity's reach, shortly after which I experienced a full disconnect. But you know, it's funny. An EU player who plays on NA, and yet I have less ping issues than actual NA people, despite that one sudden spike from earlier...

I'm in no way a network expert, but it seems like it might be player load, if you ask me.

  8. Eh. I dunno, I'm easy to please I suppose, but I fail to see what's so bad about that idea. The fact that the Koda were wrong about dragons only shows how yes, even they make mistakes. It makes them human, for lack of better term. But do remember I don't expect Jormag to be a goody two-shoes like they're claiming. I expect it's just another trick like usual.

Anyway, I'd be pretty hyped if I turn out to be right with my prediction, but I do would love some questions answered that get raised with it. I'm sure Anet has that covered, though.

  9. What would Jormag be needing that army for, then?

Here is what I expect to see happen, and I'll put it in spoiler tags just in case.

! Jormag wants to get rid of Primordus and is going to use their new army to do so. Why? Not sure yet, but a possible motivation could be because they are each others' weakness as we discovered in season 3. We all know if one more dragon bites the dust, the world ends, so that isn't an option for us to take. But perhaps Jormag seeks to take their rival's magic for themselves. Is there a risk that the excess magic will drive them to madness like it did with Kralkatorrik? So many questions... Whichever happens will surely spell doom for us.

I'd like to believe that Jormag isn't the villain this time, and they really do want to help us. It would be a cool twist, but they've tricked before. Surely they will trick again.

  10. Wait, so that warning didn't matter? Huh. Well, glad I'm not being forced to make the T1s again. Still, kinda weird to have had that warning in there then. According to a comment in that reddit post, the description for the weapons were also removed with this patch. Perhaps it was a last minute change of mind.

Edit: Just checked. Yep, it's gone. https://i.imgur.com/ITZlfy4.jpg

Edit2: Having looked at the recipe for T2 again and seeing the visual difference between the two weapon tiers (literally just more particle effects), I've decided they're not worth the trouble. Good luck to whoever tackles this monster of a weapon collection. I sure am not.

  11. Some tracks are repeatable, but the one for drizzlewood coast is not. It's sad, because that could have been a solution too. I would happily do a couple of wvw tracks to get the weapons back over farming materials for them. But alas.

    @Cyninja.2954 said:Dunno, I'd read that more as:

    • the weapons are craft-able
    • the weapons are trade-able

It would make little sense for the developers to go out of their way to implement a warning, only to then reimburse players who salvaged the weapons again. So I would keep my hopes and expectations in check if I was affected and expect the worst case scenario, which is basically some gold cost.

We'll know for sure in 8 days.

Dunno how deep your pockets go, but I would say it cost more than some gold. Regardless, you are right. I should expect the worst case scenario.

  12. A GM came back to me on my support ticket and told me the following:

"There are methods in game to re-obtain these items if you wish to upgrade these at a later date. You may also purchase Bind on Use versions of these items from the Trading Post if you desire."

It's not specifically implying you'll have a vendor to rebuy them for at a lower pricetag, but it certainly sounds promising. I also relayed my feedback to them about making the warning text more obvious, so here's hoping it'll be implemented in the future.
