To accompany the Prehistoric Siege Turtle, I'd like to suggest more dinosaurs here, such as ankylosaurs and stegosaurids.

Also worth bringing up (I'm sure others will too): sylvan hound, "charr tank" Siege Turtle, UFO-flavoured Synergetics Siege Turtle.

    10/10 all of these ideas.

I'd also just love a different Turtle Turret, the jade dragon on the front does nothing and many other mounts have different saddles.

    1. Raptor - More dinosaur variants, closer to the Crested Plainsrunner & Trihorn.
    2. Springer - A return to the Jackrabbit styles again. How have we not had a kangaroo version yet?
    3. Skimmer - More bird skins, ala the hummingbird. Potentially more shark variations as well, the hammerhead is great.
    4. Jackal - Those wolf skins are amazing but we're missing things like horses , zebras, stags etc
    5. Griffon - Bats & Grand Lion are amazing, can we have knock off lite versions?
    6. Roller Beetle - Staghorn beetles, Rhino & Atlas beetles! More beetles more good. Shocked we haven't had a dung beetle yet.
    7. Warclaw - Battle Bears! Battle Bison!
    8. Skyscale - Loving the Manticore range, but can we have one without feathers?
    9. Siege Turtle that has dyeable cannons and no flashy particle effects. Literally, the bar is so low on this one, just give me the option to dye the cannons

This is an odd post I know, but Anet won't know what I actually want to purchase unless I tell them.

How about you? What would you like to see?

  2. Honestly, I'd be happy with a default skin where I can dye the cannons.

The only 2 you can on right now are the Jade Turt & the Aurora Blessed. Neither look like a natural turtle.
Even the Crested Dragon, a premium skin, cannot dye the cannons.

  3. I liked:

    • Nayos is extremely well rendered and designed, it does very well on capturing the "alien" feel.
    • The character development & voice lines were expertly delivered (minus that 1 repetition at the beginning)
    • Events were literally everywhere, making the forced filler easier to achieve
    • Wizards Vault refresh was bang on, more skins more fun.

    I disliked:

    • Forced filler content (complete events until so and so is ready) caused me to audibly groan. It's not fun, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and gives the perception you don't have respect for my time. Trying to play this content with my friends later in the year when they catch up will be awful.
    • Forced filler content again, just to emphasise it, should be relevant to my current objectives.
    • I was excited at seeing new ores (Vesperite?), bitterly disappointed when it turned out to be mithril wearing a hat.
    • "To unlock your new prof weapon, go find a scroll sitting on a rock that somehow survived millennia". It was shoehorned in and wasn't necessary.

Other whines about SoTo in general:

    • Still no new Guild Hall, which is criminal based on how beautiful SoTo is.
    • No new crafting exception essences to make bigger essences. Why can't my chef make some Kryptis nuggies? Or Kryptis sharpening stones?

What I'd like to see again:

    • Drizzlewood had a great feel for adding extra maps, as it was a directional expansion. We fought through enemy lines to get to the North. I literally cannot tell you why we can't do the same in Nayos, I can now glide from East to West and I don't know why lore wise I couldn't before. This is only an issue for players playing at the time of expansion and not later however.

Using a Booster doesn't increase the amount of fish caught per cast, it increases the amount of casts per fishing hole (potentially from 3 casts with fish caught to 6 casts with fish caught).

You what? I had no idea! Thanks for the tip!

Although you aren't able to keep your fishing stacks on map changes, it's very easy to instantly increase them to 25/50/75/99 as soon as you start on a new map. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Zephyrite_Fish_Jerky

If you use an Item Booster (the mastercraft version can be purchased from any laurel vendor) it potentially increases the fish caught from 3 to 6. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Item_Booster

As for everyone here complaining that fishing was a waste of time, fishing alone made me enough gold to finance 20+ legendaries.  I went from having only 4 legendary weapons to now having one of each (incl. all UW weapons) and duplicate sword, pistol, axe, and dagger, 2 legendary rings, legendary backpiece, as well as 7 legendary runes and 4 legendary sigils.

I don't think you understood my complaint, I'm saying that the amount of fishing needs to increase, not the amount of fish.
Going to a spot for 3 fish doesn't feel worth it, going to it for 5 would do.

If I managed to get 3 fish per a cast, sure that's fine as well, but right now, it's not worth my time investment as it doesn't feel chilled out or fun to play.

  6. I also appreciate this post.
However, honestly, I'd just be happy with a larger amount of fish per fishing hole.

The whole mechanic feels clunky, get on boat, drive to spot, park boat, fish for 3 fish, unpark boat, drive away again.

It's not as fluid as it needs to be, increasing the catch amount would go a long way to improving that.

Lots of work went into those guild missions and it is kinda sad that they never expanded on them. But it seems guilds are abandoned content at this point due to lack of monetization options probably.

It's so sad, all the need to do is just change "Requires: 3" to "Requires: 1" and we're done.

Although knowing the spaghetti code we'd likely end up somehow breaking something entirely unrelated like World Bosses.

  8. I actually enjoy most of the Guild Missions that are available currently (except you Fawcett's Porch, you sneaky jumping puzzle) but a game with the name Guild Wars, I'm surprised there's not more investment in the Guild part of it over the years.

My biggest irk right now is that small guilds can't participate in all of the missions that are provided, as in, physically cannot. One of my main guilds is only a few people I know in real life, trying to get 3+ of us on at the same time to do WvW or PvP missions is a chore, but there's almost always 2 of us free.

On the flip side of that, one of my other main guilds is a larger PvP guild, I was telling a few guildmates about GvG from GW1 and they were disappointed that it wasn't introduced into GW2. Someone suggested the idea of Guild Raids, where you could attempt to CTF another guild's hall (with consent of course) and I thought that would be amazingly good fun, with the use of traps or obstacles etc.

I'm completely understanding that some content (fishing etc) can't be added as missions due to expansion locks, but just removing the physical requirement to have 3 players to even start a mission would be a great help for smaller guilds to actually use some of the existing content.

    What do you think?

  9. So, you can find an example here of what I mean.

It some missions, when playing with a friend (in this MMO), you consistently hit these stars that cause a pop up.

The worst ones by far are in the Dragonfall missions as they appear as you spawn or during combat (The End in War Eternal instance being literally unplayable as they spawn on you mid flight!)

Is it time we do away with them? Or just maybe move them around a smidge?

  10. For all of Reddits faults, and there are many, the upvote system was an amazing tool for showing content liked by the community.

Are we able to adapt that system, similar to how MS have in it's support tracker, to help mods & devs see what's really important to the community?

Votes & Polls do the same thing, but it relies on the OP inputting every single option first time.

  11. All sounds good on paper but it still doesn't clear up a few things:

    1) What happens to Rune slot 6? Does it gain extra bonuses?

    2) Do we still need 6 runes?

    3) Can I equip 5 runes and +1 of another set?

    4) Each CHARACTER over level 60? Or account?

    5) Will Relics that launch initially be the same as the rune sets 6th bonus? Or will there be significant trimming?

This one was the one, it seems.
Could play a full hour without problem; will keep testing and edit the main post with the solution if it was.

EDIT: After 1,5 hours of gameplay, the game crashed again 😞
EDIT 2: After hard reset, I could play for less than 10 minutes and everything crashed again. Very sad, I though the resolution fix was it.

    Thanks!

    Hey guys,
I've been searching a lot of answers for my problem, but I have yet to find an answer. Since a couple weeks ago my GW2 game started to freeze, the whole PC freezes but the sound is still on. Most of the anserws I found were: you need a better power supply / you need better cooling for your CPU.  So I changed them both, a new power supply and a water-cooler (sorry I don't know the name in english) for my CPU. The game still freezes everything on 10-12 min playing. I have:

    1.  Checked all my drivers (and updated them)
    2. Updated windows
    3. Repaired the client
    4. Deleted bin64 folder
    5. Tried playing with lower graphics / higher graphics
    6. Used a logging system (results in this drive spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11HO8rL9mcBRZeGjdVY7q2hOFDqvS2s5VwuqaFqXSPkw/edit?usp=sharing ), found no overtemp (55°C on processors)
    7. Im not using overclock (that I know...)
    8. I could play without troubles before

    PC specs are as follows:

    AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
    MB: AsusTek Primer X570-P
    32 GB Ram DDR4
    Raedon RX 580 2048

Hope anyone can point me in the right direction, 😞  thanks!

    Ello.
Just going to through my thoughts in here.

I think your GPU is to blame for this cheeky behaviour.
Everything you've said so far sounds hardware related, and whilst I 100% think you were still right to replace aging parts like CPU cooler & PSU, I've been looking at your logs and you frequently hit 100% GPU usage. I suspect your RX 580 is running too hot and heavy for too long, causing a trip somewhere and a shut down to occur.

If your display completely freezes and you can't interact with it, I would usually say that's either a CPU or a GPU issue.

This would also explain why you can run windowed for longer.

    The fix? Limit your frames.

Run it at 60fps and see if that make a difference.
