    The days when people were leaving in droves prior to HoT, the very days when the melee train existed. Leaving because (exactly as they say now), the meta was stale. The quickest thing that would kill WvW is going back to that trash melee meta. It alienates too many players and still flat out ignores the single and sole problem in all WvW, the guardian, and them doing far too much. The meta will never change until they are completely gutted. Instead of doing 7-8 things extremely well, they need to be on par with every other class who only do 1-2 things well.

    Are you inferring that pirate ship fights are better than melee fights?Nobody on their right mind would infer that 10 minute of pirate ship staring at each other is better than 10 minutes of pure combat melee fights of pure joy!

    In the current pirate ship state, we get:

    • 10+ minutes of staring at each other
    • 1 minute of fighting

    In the past, we got:

    • 10 minutes of fighting
    • 10 seconds of empowering.

    Adding more content to WvW wont solve the problem. What problem you ask?WvW problems

    • Lag
    • Damage out of control in sergs
    • Pirate Ship "battles" where only the range classes enjoy the "battle."
    • Mounts
    • Among side others...

  5. The mistake that thieves make is to claim that thieves only source of sustain is stealth. WRONG!Thieves sustain by:

    • Stealth
    • Evades
    • Blinds
    • Teleports

    If you are using only one source of sustain, then you are playing your thief wrong.On a class that can evade and teleport for 10+ seconds straight, you can easily manage to fight while revealed.If you decide to only invest on PURE stealth, well, that is your fault!

  6. LMAO weaver with 0 votes? Weaver is one of the top contenders that needs nerfing. This post is for all of those people that love the truth and that know what I am talking about, so lets discuss why weaver is the top contender for a nerf. Weaver has everything in one build and those who are smart enough to know what that build is will recognize this:

    • barrier
    • healing
    • Evades
    • A healing skill that heals with every attack
    • projectile blocks
    • complete immunity for 4 seconds
    • Permanent boon spam (permanent protection and regeneration)
    • Defensive boon regeneration
    • Defensive boon protection (-33% damage reduction)
    • Defensive condition weakness (-50% damage reduction)
    • Food that reduces damage by -10%
    • Frost Aura that reduces damage by -10%
    • Woven Earth -20% damage reduction
    • Geomancer's Training -10% damage reduction
    • Stone Heart immune to critical hits.

    So, lets calculate the effective damage reduction:(1 - 0.33)(1 - 0.50)(1 - 0.10)(1 - 0.10)(1 - 0.20)(1 - 0.10) - 1 = -0.80This means the effective damage reduction is -80%

    So, lets assume that you are a 100% berserker class with everything set at max damage. Your max critical hit damage is about 270%, lets calculate how much damage you will deal to this "poor innocent weaver."

    (1 - 0.33)(1 - 0.50)(1 - 0.10)(1 - 0.10)(1 - 0.20)(1 - 0.10)(1 +1.70) - 1 = -0.47This means that the effective damage is -47%

    That is correct! YOU ARE A FULL BERSERKER CLASS WITH EVERYTHING MAXED TO DAMAGE and weaver still manages to get a -47% damage reduction!Did I take into account the barrier damage reduction? OF COURSE NOT!

    In reality, damage reduction is way, way, way more that -80%; with barrier in the equation, it could easily reach the -90% damage reduction.Weaver is stupidly overpowered.

    When one trait is carrying a whole class, then something is wrong already, nerfing said trait without compensating for it makes the class become useless.

    Yea, of course there's something wrong, but if you don't remove the single trait that carry an entire class, you won't expose the trashy parts.

    Yeaa... But then it takes months, years or even a whole expansion for arenanet to fix it or introduce some other broken trait that carries the whole class, starting this whole kitten of how "OP" warrior is again.

    Imo the simplicity of the class is the whole reason why its either seen as op (especially by low skilled players who dont see what the warrior is going to do from a mile away) or as performing underwhelmingly.

    There is no real depth to it, so anet can only play with dmg numbers rly to tweak it.If you lower the dmg so new ppl dont get roflstomped, you have no way of killing someone who knows what he is doing, if you increase the dmg to be able to kill ppl who know what they are doing you will crush low skilled players (and low skilled players will crush others on different classes with it, because of its simplicity)

    Pretty much this, I just want to add that due to warrior design as a power melee class without stealth, teleports, defensive boons, healing skills, slow attacks and long channeling skills; Anet's design for the warrior has been that of a brute fighter that excels at both:

    • Survival by means enduring damage
    • Dealing damage by means of brute force

    If you look at warrior skills, most of them deal pure strike damage and are single target, unlike the skills of other professions that deal damage and also apply conditions, give defensive boons and/or buffs.

    let me get this straight, we lose:

    • Our F1 tier 3 abilities by going spell breaker
    • We lose synergy with berserker's power
    • We lose synergy with cleansing ire
    • We lose synergy with adrenal health
    • We lose synergy with Destruction of the Empowered
    • We lose stun duration on mace and hammer F1 and they get replace by 1 sec stun duration.

    Are you keeping track of how much power we are losing? If no, dont worry I have the answer, just by making F1 abilities go from tier 3 to tier 1, that is a nerf of -33% damage.Are you keeping track of how much sustain we are losing? if no, don't worry, I have the answer, we lose adrenal healing effectiveness by -66.66%, we lose cleansing ire effectiveness by -66.66%...

    In any case:

    • Spell breaker gets the power lost from Magebane Tether, Attacker's Insight, and Pure Strike and now you are asking for a nerf to those traits that balance the power lost by nerfing tier 3 F1 abilities.
    • Spell breaker gets the sustain from full counter, revenge counter and Guard Counter.

    We lose powerful F1 abilities that synergy with warrior traits in exchange for the traits that you want nerfed. Thus, why I wrote my previous comment

    Of all the thins that you said, the only ones that make sense are:

    • Brave Stride: Gain 2 Stacks of Stability for 8 Seconds if you go Infight. (this should be on a 15 sec cooldown, not only when you go in combat)
    • Great Fortitude: This skill switch his Slot with Sundering Mace.
    • No Escape: Switched for a skill that will remove more boons.
    • "Fear me!" : This skill now get a munition load( 5 seconds cooldown). This skill have an 60 Seconds cooldown

    Apparently, what drives them crazy is "La cucaracha", "and "taps."For some reason, they can't stand those songs and rage PM immediately.Just laugh and go on to your next victim...Well, at least that is what I do for fun when I am not in a serg.

  14. A warrior without sustain is just another NPC.What makes warrior a warrior is endure pain, without endure pain warrior is trash (and that is Anet's fault for not giving us build variety). In another post I explained why warrior without sustain is a complete and utter trash profession.I will explain it again:

    • Warrior does not have stealth
    • Warrior does not have teleports
    • Warrior does not have defensive boons
    • Warrior does not have healing skills on weapons
    • Most Warrior skills are slow casting skills
    • Most warrior skills are highly telegraphed

    So, the reason why you are having trouble in PvP is because endure pain only last for 2 seconds and your warrior does not have the means to defend himself with stealth, teleports, defensive boons or healing skills.

    In PvP you need someone to heal you and give you defensive boons or else you are not going to survive as warrior.Since the nerf to endure pain in PVP was implemented, I have never step a foot in that game mode, and the reason is because I only play warrior.

  15. Endure pain in WvW has been discussed many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many times. And Anet stance has always been that because WvW is a massive battleground and warrior is a front line melee class, warrior needs to have endure pain as it is in order to survive. Those who play warrior in WvW know well that a nerf to endure pain will lead to a complete destruction of the warrior class since warrior survival as a front line fighter and as a melee class come directly from endure pain.

    Why is this so hard to understand? Look at what happened in PvP with the nerf to endure pain from 4 sec to 2 sec, in a 5 vs 5 battle, endure pain does not have a significant effect for warrior survival. Imagine if this nerf was applied to WvW 50 vs 50.

    With its current 4 sec duration and 60 sec cool-down, endure pain can receive as much as 30k+ damage from leeching on serg fights; that is enough to kill the warrior even when endure pain is active. I have been on fights where I activate my endure pain + berserker stance and as soon as I get hit by the enemy serg my warrior explodes and dies instantly. I then open the damage log and I see that I got hit for like 30K+ life siphoning damage.

    So, thank you for your suggestion, but endure pain does not need a nerf, what it needs is a buff from 4 sec to 6 seconds. And if this seems too much, well we are in WvW not in a 1 vs 1 battleground.

  16. Stealth is a very bad design in any game. GW2 has let stealth go rampant for so long!The solution is not reveal, but removal! Stealth in any video game does not have a purpose in competitive games because stealth players always has the advantage:

    • Stealth player can run away or play at his or her own pace.
    • You never know when the hit is going to come.
  17. Today I just bought $35 dollars worth of gems to purchase an item that generates a gold revenue (that item i shall not mention since it is making lots of gold for me) I I have made about 600 gold in 3 days.

    With all that gold I made, I converted it to gems to purchase more items in the gems store. So, in conclusion. people invest real money in the gem store to generate more gold which then is converted to gems. Thus the reason why gold to gems is so expensive.

The yummy tears and rage PM messages that I get in WvW when I defeat with ease WvW wannabees.I know it sounds crazy, but that gives me joy and excitement and it keeps me in the game!Maybe its because I enjoy the pain and suffering of others, so when they message me with rage I rejoice and laugh even more after finding out that not only did I kick they behinds in a 4 vs 1 fight, but they also got hurt so bad that they feel they need to PM me with rage!

    So, yeah, I guess the thing that is keeping me in the game is the yummy yummy tears i get in WvW.
