Expecting immediately useful item drops in GW2 does predictably leads to disappointment because it does not.
The whole point of GW2 economy is processing drops/node resources into materials into higher tier materials into useful items that are sold on TP or worn.
It is the same system that EVE Online, the titan of the economic simulation games, uses and this is one reason why GW2 is so popular.
It also saves on anxiously waiting/praying for a drop and getting disappointed again and again ad nauseum.

Making them repeatable once per day by talking to heart vendor while still counting for map completion after completing once could be nice.

I mainly play for anime and combat mechanics where you can actively mitigate damage by moving, not "stand, facetank and play piano" like in CoW.
I also enjoy gathering and crafting, and resource nodes in GW2 are not spaced across the huge empty maps.

Rifle Warrior. It's definitely not a mage and can dual wield melee weapons for a swap.

I unload my character inventory regularly by selling/depositing/banking stuff when returning to town, a habit from Diablo days.
I use an Olmakhan Bandolier in the lowest slot to avoid searching for containers all over the inventory.

Yeah but what's the point of unreasonable pricing then? It's not a TP scam so no one gets to profit from it? Seems like an oversight to me.

250 shards is almost 10 gold on TP. Compare to 1 gold + 1 laurel.
25 shards should be the reasonable price.

Necromancer's got long ranged AoE wells and marks from staff, cc with fear and chill, mobility with teleports and swiftness, plus lots of sustain with Death and Blood Magic traitlines in addition to shroud.

Alternative for mind-developing GW2 puzzles is degenerate "click on red points" mobile gameplay. Make your choice.

Making a sequel that will only run on an [expensive waste] latest gen gaming PC's would not only make a huge dent in the Anet finances, but significantly drop the playerbase because of said hardware being available to minority of players.
So yeah, you elitists will enjoy much less lag (because much less players) for a while before GW3 closes.

Partying with an experienced player as a guide can work too. And there are hero point trains being run.
Another way is to watch Youtube vid until you memorize it and then try to repeat it in the game, by small bits if necessary.

As an exotic Berserker mesmer you are going to get squished in expansion content.
Your first priority should be gearing in full Ascended with some tanky stats like Celestial.
If you are going to roam in mostly vertical HoT maps the glider is a must. It can be replaced with skyscale, but skyscale is locked behind s04 and some wicked sick treasure hunts, or SotO.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, roam some low level maps first for a while, no need to feed the dragon minions by being unprepared.

I think the answer is very simple. The Orrians relied on spiritual muscles instead of physical ones, and Charr just ripped those out with a flick of their mind then easily beaten much weakened Orrian troops.

Ascended trinkets are trash and should be treated as such. Salvage without mercy.

If you had gotten out of PvP you may have noticed some burning immune enemies.

Short answer would be your character doesn't get stronger but content keeps getting harder so you have to improve your brain instead of gear.
Progression in story is locked behind several puzzles you can't solve with farming for better items.

If you are diligent enough, start crafting so you can relatively quickly dress into full ascended gear to help tackle story and fractals.
Regardless of whether you are starting a new character or continue with existing one, spend some time practicing in low level zones or you are going to lose.
Sticking to one character you like and understand the most is good idea whatever altoholics may say.

If you are feeling stressed it is because you are in the area above your comfort level.
Stay in the lower level areas for a while until they feel too easy then move further.
