    Hi Rubi,

I can confirm it still does not work with a Mesmer and a Rifle.  No conditions inflicted and killing blows on several foes.  I did not get credit for any killing blows, still at 0.  Did they implement this fix as you stated?

Okay, I have to apologize.  I made a mistake.  It was tracking.  I was assuming the status bar in the Wizard's Vault would update with each kill, and of course it doesn't, it just goes from 0 to 1 when you kill 100.  I went to the Artisan of Arms achievement and saw I already had 31 kills.  When I hit 100 kills I did get the reward.  So for me (Mesmer/Rifle) it does work.  Sorry for the confusion.

As some of you have figured out, this is happening regardless of weapon or profession because the achievement only progresses when you make the killing blow with a weapon skill. If you do not make the killing blow with a weapon skill, or if the "killing blow" comes from a condition, the achievement does not progress.

We're working on a change that will progress this achievement as long as you deal any damage with the relevant weapon. Achievement progress will be granted for the weapon(s) you are wielding when the enemy dies.

We need to test this extensively across all professions to make sure that nothing causes players to lose achievement progress they have already earned, so we are planning for this to ship with the March 19 systems update.

Complete waste of time. The descriptions of how and where to do this are unclear or they don't work. Anet wants us to do this but leave out important details on how to achieve them. A ranger can't score a one hit kill with a mace in the areas they claim it has to be done! I won't be bothering with this achievement any more

Rubi said it's bugged and they are working on a fix.  Should be fixed on the 19th which gives us plenty of time for the achievement.

  4. On a positive note, the Inner Nayos lanterns are VERY VERY easy.  None of them are locked behind events (I hope this will be their new model) and some are so close you can see one from the other.  Heck, at each WP there are 3 lanterns within 15 seconds of each other.  Even without a guide I was able to knock one completion off in less than 30  mins.

  5. I made the light female human set for my Mesmer.  I have to say when I saw the preview I was very disappointed because I do not like leggings on light armor females.  After actually making it a wearing if for a while it has grown on me.  The lack of animations however is a real let down, especially for something that took so long to make and was quite expensive.  I'm hoping that will be fixed when T2 is released.  I would love an option to make a "lighter" skirt version in T2 as well, but that may be asking too much.

Thanks Rubi!  But to be clear, I tried it using Skill 1 and there were no conditions on my target.  I still did not get credit for a kill.

Wow. So you are complaining that people who spend hundreds of gold worth of resources on crafting a legendary obsidian piece of armour will get 15-20 gold back from WV?

And you will miss out on the 15-20 gold because you don’t want to spend the hundreds?

    This make no sense.

It's the same type of person who I open my full instance home up to with the comment "No tips necessary but appreciated" and 80% of the time I get no tips, 10% I get tips, and 10% I get 1c and a "HA HA".  That's why I stopped doing it.

  8. I am not a fan of co-op play (PvP, WvWvW, Strike Missions, Fractals, etc.), but I can more than tolerate these Convergences.  I've done 2 so far in public instances, both against Sorrow and we won both times.

The weekly reward for doing 3 is great, especially if you are looking to make at least one piece of Legendary armor.

It's just a lot of button mashing really, and you get a fair amount of experience and essence in return for about 25 mins of button mashing.

I can see myself doing it 3 times a week for the weekly reward.

Is this system deliberatly choosing the worst mini dungeons? Weekly had Professor Portmatt's Lab, a lame underwater "puzzle", and now daily is a bugged mini dungeon in echovald. Right now i'd rather do an entire raid wing than those mini dungeons, it would at least be a whole lot less cumbersome.

I hate mini dungeons as well but for Portmatt I looked it up on the Wiki first.  It says you should be able to glide from the lighthouse to the island with the final platform without actually doing the puzzle.  I was not able to time that right, but after I dropped into the water I decided to try to see if I could get on the island using the skimmer.  I was able to do it that way by approaching the island at full speed and hover height, then launching off the skimmer and gliding at the right time.  It took 3 tries but I was able to do it that way.

For today's mini dungeon in Echovald, I have bad memories of playing that one and I'm just going to skip it.

Agreed though, poor choices sometimes.  They need to let you pick 3 of 4.
