  1. I have a problem with the rift scanner not working properly when at a boss encounter when there is something to close with it (big white circle under the boss). I press 'F', my char raises the scanner and immediately drops the hand and nothing happens. Sometimes this happens when closing a rift as well. I've checked that I'm not in combat at the time.

Edit: Might be operator error in the end. Disregard this for now. I'll keep trying.

  2. I did have a problem with this. The first time starting the game after the patch I was going to delete a disposable character, but accidentally doubleclicked and so logged on that character. I immediately logged out of that char and then proceeded to delete it, not realizing there was a bouncy chest. Now I had no way of getting the relic on any of my other characters. The chest was gone. I made a ticket and they said they couldn't find any evidence of me deleting the relic, but I got it back in the end (with an ominous message that it was just this one time and in the future they wouldn't help). That bouncy chest should stay on every character until it is opened since it's an account wide item anyway. Also,. is there even a way to delete a legendary relic?

  3. I finally managed to finish Victory or Death. I disabled the firewall and ping blocking on my router. I still had the windows firewall on, with all ports open in/out for gw2.exe and out for coherentui_host.exe.

I also reinstalled the whole game and deleted local.dat earlier, but that didn't help for Victory or Death. Some time ago I had trouble doing the final Kralkatorrik mission, so I reinstalled and managed to finish the Kralkatorrik finale without touching the firewall settings. I don't know what's going on, but those are my success stories after trying over a dozen times.

  4. I was disconnected just before killing Kralkatorrik in my story. I had the same problem with another char with Zhaitan. This time I redownloaded the whole game and noticed that the newly downloaded Gw2.dat file was over 100MB smaller than my old one. I had been patching the existing file for years, so maybe there was something in the cumulative patch process that introduced some bad data into the file. I finished the Kralkatorrik killing on the first try after that.

PS: I did delete C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\Local.dat as well.
