Do we need to have this? Is it considered fun to play against someone who is spamming the same "Flame Jet" ability a billion times? Idk seems too simple to me.

Seriously though, this game needs to chill out with all of the AoE skills...seems like there are too many and not even just in the Necro class.

Were you seeing any numbers like 0 or no damage at all? On certain settings stuff like Corrosive Poison Cloud which destroy projectiles doesn't display with other than a red circle while Reaper Shroud 2 can destroy projectiles too.
It tells me the damage I dealt out but that 0 of that damage actually hit them. It might have something to do with shroud, I will have to pay closer attention. I appreciate your thoughts about this!

I don't know how to be more specific. I was tracking my outgoing and incoming damage and I noticed that I was hitting them but all of the damage was getting absorbed so I ended up doing 0 damage to them. I am trying to figure out where its coming from so I can play better but I don't know anything other than that.

Hi All, I hope you can help me understand this thing I have noticed when fighting necromancers. What is the deal with 100% damage being absorbed? Is there a sigil or a skill that grants this ability for a brief amount of time? It is extremely frustrating.

I think we get too many tonics without much use for them outside of costume brawls. I think we should either give them more uses or reduce the amount of tonics we get in festival bags.

I think all classes could use some more detail and depth! You all have these great insights and I don't clearly see many of them reflected in the actual game play.

I suppose I didn't think as far as ya'll. I simply saw the shamans in the newly released story content and instantly loved them.

I always thought of Shamans being a cross between a necromancer and an elementalist. I rather like the idea that you can CHOOSE what element that you want to use like being a fire shaman, ice shaman, etc.

When I enter a PvP match my 7 & 8 skills are switched around., it consistently happens at every match and I have to switch them back before that match begins. Is this a bug for anyone else?

I think the radius is too small for the 'reveal' feature to be useful. I almost never successfully reveal a hidden thief because they are too far away. Any thoughts?

If down states are going to stick around (which I am sure they will), can some classes be helped out a little? Some classes have pretty effective down state skills in PvP, imo these classes are:
Ranger
Engi
Thief
Necro
Mesmer
Warrior (if they can get a full rally)
ele
Meanwhile, other classes have almost useless down state skills and it makes the whole down state mechanic feel pointless. I main rev and our downstate skills are severely lacking, we have one knockdown and despite the strength of the knockback (if it lands) we have no other useful skills to use. If both a rev and a ranger are in downstate on a node, 9 times out of 10 the ranger will win simply because their downstate skills are better (e.g., their pet can heal them). Other class down states like guardian are also lacking. What do you all think?
