Please fix the Glyph of Reaping so that it works for visitors to home instances. It is useless if just the owner can use it because he will be held up by visitors who cannot.

Sounds like introducing a bug to fix another bug. This is not a reason to disable the glyph of reaping on ore and lumber nodes in-home instances. Uncool ANET.

"...When inserted, the glyph allows characters to gather from all nodes associated with the gathering tool within 900 units...The September 17, 2019 patch disabled the Glyph of Reaping in instances for players who are not instance owners. This mainly applies to visiting other people's home instances to harvest their home instance nodes. Guild halls are unaffected..."

I agree with patching exploits as quickly as possible. However, after 4 years, this patch needs repair itself: The instance owner, while sharing the home instance, promotes the player-helping player and friendly game that GW2 is, this patch negates those efforts, IMHO.

What I am hoping to accomplish here is a group of like-minded individuals in order to bring Anet's attention to this, bringing a better patch, or a fix to the actual issue, vice leaving the quick-fix put in place in '19.

Still Hoping for some like-minded individuals to share some input here!

Back then, the Glyph of Reaping got disabled due to a bug. Visitors were able to harvest the Owners Ascended crops with it, that shouldnt be able to get harvested. Since then it got disabled for others than the Owner.  So when can people actually use it the way they want & the way it was intended again? Rather disable the ascended crops than the Glyph of reaping there.

Both of my ALTs were able to harvest everything, including the plants, individually, despite the Glyph of Reaping equipped. So I am at a loss as to why the Glyph of Reaping was neutered, preventing the rapid home instance harvesting I set them up for (before it was nerfed). I don't know what the bug is/or was, I just know I am and have been doing everything IAW Anet rules & policies, why would they zero in on something like this? I'm just looking for a better, more permanent fix is all.

  4. I am still holding onto hope that this will be fixed, rather than nerfed as it has been for years now. It does make the use of it pointless for the home instance owner, as they are there and waiting for the other to finish up.

I would like to see this fixed, TBH vice what is in place now.

  5. I do not like this change. Having the daily list-menu auto-display pending on game mode was "perfect". Throwing in a option to set it for one or the other, or auto would also be nice, but having to scroll thru all the options when the pertinent info was being automatically displayed is a step in the wrong direction. -IMHO.
