Main feature that I think needs to be implemented is crafting timers. Having crafting done by the masters to whom you deliver materials and then they spend some minutes on refinement and basic gear, hours for exotics and days and weeks for ascended and legendary gear would achieve realism (having a grunt hand-making a complicated magical item in under a minute is quite silly). Current restriction on ascended mat crafting per day tries to achieve the same thing but it is obviously a crude solution and it doesn't works - anyone can get enough ascended mats from trade post for anything if he is proficient at obtaining gold, devaluing ascended items

Lol so after all the mats you hoarder for weeks/months. Now you wait a timer to craft the legendary? I would probably quit the same day they would do this. Last thing I want after I did all collections and hoarded all mats and spent all gold is to wait some more. No, I want it when I have all ready.

  2. Guys...this is bait. Stop replying to the troll. And if it's legit, he clearly missed the point. There is thought behind bosses. A very weak but smart character can get to high places. So he was smart enough to manipulate and get there, but one swing could take him down. It's story, and makes total sense. If you want just hard bosses u can beat brainlessly because "big damag me need see" go back to where you like it if GW2 is so bad for you lol.

  3. Lmao at the people who said they made this fight so hard for replayability. Boys, the moment I finish it, I am never coming back again to this cursed meta. There is no replayability. Unless u are a masochist, that's what all will do. 40h in that map still no successful meta. Blame it on me all u want, I doubt that if I "git gud" I can carry a whole meta. There is 0 replayability. Ppl wanna finish, get rewards and do something else, not spent 999 hours for a kitten uncommon unidentified piece of gear. Also the way u get the new legendaries is really bad. Timegated behind 20 weeks to buy 5 items/week. I'll stick to the gen 1 and 2. The new ones suck anyways. 0 personality

  4. I think people should refund if they can't even finish the basic events that they bought. I mean, fine, endgame content, raids fractals strikes are not for everyone. But the meta event of the expansion? I mean, why buy a game when you can't play it? And don't come at me with the "git gud". Killproof ZnZM. I have some experience with endgame content and play many meta builds. The event is just poor designed. Everytime I am able to deal some damage after the effects cluster under 20fps, she suddenly whoops to the other side and I lose all my burst. By the time I get there, I can deal some damage for 5 secconds and she leaves again. U can keep the difficulty for strike missions but open world? What is this? You really did only bad with this xpack.

    Pro: visuals and story

    Cons:

    -nerf fractals CMs rewards

-gatekeep under new xpack the mystic coins u could get from CMs

-nerf sustain on all the board for everyone (why even do that? Let the people enjoy the content on the classes they know and finish it. U could nerf them after a month, not at the start of a new xpack and ruin everyones experience by being downed all over the place. Not saying the nerf is bad, just poor timing.)

-bot is not account wide (pretty dumb since the masteries are)

-the last map meta is unfinishable and makes it being gatekeeped by players who wanna finish

I can enter any group I want since I got the KP and meta builds. But this is unfair to solo players eho just wanna enjoy the game. They can't do raids/fractals, not even strikes some of them. And now they can't even finish a meta event.

I'm ok with it, but then the weapon skin wasn't really a factor in my decision.

I knew I wanted the expansion and that I'd want to play it from day 1, so I wasn't going to wait for a sale. It was the same price to pre-purchase as to buy it on release and doing it a few days early (I only got it last week) meant I got some free items, so it was the better deal but since they're free I wasn't too bothered about whether it's things I really wanted. If I'd been considering waiting for a sale that would be a different matter, then I'd only have pre-ordered if I thought the bonus items were worth the extra money.

Not sure I agree with that. The bonus items aren't free. That's why u pay more for the deluxe version than basic version. So...how are the items free?

Sorry for your disappointment, but it's intended. It's really bad from Anet to promote this kind of preorder bonus, but it was exactly the same for PoF unfortunately. Just a common 30s skin. Lame. At least, we had Lily of the Elon premium zone with PoF Ultimate Ed.

1st expansion I don't preorder because of very bad value items in it. Haven't bought it yet too.

Sadly I didn't know about pof bonus. I started playing after

  7. Serious talk. I enjoy the new xpack and the content so far. Story is solid. Didn't try new classes/strikes. But as for maps and story, 9/10.

But, the weapon skim from the preorder pack turned out to be a 30silver yellow weapon when the xpack dropped. Made me feel a bit scammed. I thought the weapon looks nice and unique but after finding out it was a common drop it left a sour taste in my mouth. Maybe they should replace it? Or was it a mistake? Also really got left down by the nerfs. I loved playing rifle deadeye due to the sustain on the damage. Now I die a lot and when there are many mobs, I get downed fast cuz I have no aoe on rifle. Oh and the double clovers price is also a bit weird... Kinda feel bad for preordering. Was my first try preordering something and really trusted aNet but I thought I would play the same game with new content. Not get nerfs all over the place so the new classes can look shiny...

Strike missions are vital for Anet to revitalize raids. If they don't get the raid population up., the raiding population will have major problems, since new raids aren't being made

How on earth will strikes resolve the raids issue? Listen, I got a super good idea. I bet NOBODY thought about this. HOW ABOUT making more raid to revitalize raids? No? That's wrong? Oh alright. Sorry

Regarding theory crafters leaving? Maybe those who only did fractal cms might. The rest still have other things to keep them entertained.

No, this change sets a pattern. Seeing harder content getting hammered down makes u lose hope for the rest of it. The guys I am talking about made build for snowcrows which is a raid website. Not fractals. So it is affecting a large scale. All you see is CM and whining. It's not just that. They will soon come for raids too probably. "We wanna share the love so we removed ascended drops from raids and only give 1 gold/boss now. But it's fine cuz strikes drop ascended items now, BUT you gotta buy the expack. Gooodluck theory crafters. We are sure u will find a way to craft build for free for our strikes while we give you 0 reasons to play the game"

Thankfully the cm fractal change only really impacts a population smaller than that of raids.

Yeah. That's why you can fill a raid squad in lfg at any time of the day and clear it smoothly. Ofc. How did I not think about this. I think there's like 3 ppl doing CMs + T4. Me, a friend and a guy with 2 more alt accounts he made for logins.

"Generally, this’ll mean that for each subgroup in a squad for strikes or raids, you’ll want a healer, a source of quickness, and a source of alacrity, though we expect expert theory crafters to find ways to combine some of these roles!" - Anet

I really doubt there will be theory crafters if they keep going like this. People who come with builds for endgame are also attracted by the fact that endgame is worth doing and u actually get rewarded for improving and finishing. Some ppl who crafted builds for snowcrows already announced that they are leaving because they don't feel like they are also a target audience for the game. And they are 100% right. Why play a game and invest time in it if it doesn't give u anything in return? Anet can keep it's roleplayers in Lions Arch who afk whole day cuz fractals are too hard, raids are too hard, dodging is hard, memorizing a rotation is hard and so on.

They are giving rewards a little nerf they aren't coming for your children lol

They doubled the cost, limit them on dropping 10/week only if you buy the new xpack. Removed them from a popular game mode (check lfg at any time there are always parties for CMs + Tier 4) and called it "spread the love". If it's a little nerf and can't see past it and the direction they are going with the game. Not my fault. Bb

The fractal reward changes are just the symptom of the problem.  They just don't support this content properly.  We get a new fractal every 1.5-2 years.  It's nowhere near enough, even though the content is good.  Removing the rewards to shift players away from high end fractals and toward low-effort strikes is just signaling their intention to do even less for this type of content.

    And that is sad.

No. It’s toxic behavior from an elitist minority. Thankfully the majority of Fractal CM players is not like that. This is a good decision for the majority of players.

What is elitist about wanting rewards for harder content to be better? Ppl use that word this day for anything. Oh you log in 4 times a week? You must be an elitist.

I play Fractal CMs regularly and must say that this is a great change. It makes MCs accessible to far more players. So the criticism here against this decision is wrong and unfair to the majority of players.

U missed the whole point. Nobody said they shouldn't make MC more available through other game modes. It's about nuking them from fractals while doubling the price. Before I could get my 14 clovers/week alone. Now I can't even get enough to convert my clovers. I actually have to buy from others. Do you even follow?

I play fractals since day 1 and love it. Back when people gave up on the very first week and went back to dungeon farming I kept running it (no LFG so we would just grab randoms on the portal in LA lol), and I was even the one doing groups that did any fractals that came up and not just playing the RNG until swampland came up. Fractals have improved so much since then and a huge part of it is that most of the time, updates were additive and only put more stuff into fractals until it became the go-to 5 people "hard" content in-game. I go on fractal daily binges from time to time just because of how fun it is.

All of this said, I see no reason at all for this nerf, it's so strange even if it doesn't completely break the gold/hour in fractals. I don't remember anyone complaining that CMs were the only semi-reliable source of MCs and in fact, I started doing them explicitly because I set a personal objective of having a full legendary armory - making even a couple of CMs a week like I currently do a super investment towards that goal. And I actually got better at the game because of how something like 99CM truly pushes you individually to not kill the rest of your team. It's clearly also somewhat of a successful mode since CMs+T4s are one of the few "hard" instances you can LFG any time of the day without long waiting times Why would they nerf that at all for any reason is a mystery, going by the reasons given by the blog post.

If we assume however they explicitly want people to move along and set their sights on making EoD strikes appear popular by making it the only reliable MC farm - right when they gave a % of the population incentive to make their first legendary weapon in the form a precursor + amulet that shows the armory functionality - Then this strange change starts making sense for all the wrong reasons. Yes, they are not killing fractals but this is a clear message on the other hand: if you want this thing you had ample access to before, you must get the new expansion. And I don't even know how to feel about this to be honest.

Betrayed. You feel betrayed. Your reward for improving and wanting to do better is gone. BUT HEY at least u now can buy 10 alt accounts for login rewards to make some MC again because they also cost double MC not to buy clovers.
