Gw2 won't stay open and download new patches everytime there's a new Beta Event

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue. After the first Beta event my GW2 refuses to stay open and update the new patch every time there's an update. It opens for less then 11 seconds then crashes. I know there was an issue for lots of people after the Nov 9th update, but I was having trouble before that (sorry, can't recall exact dates but I know it stopped working the day of the second beta then worked again after they removed the beta). I've tried reinstalling gw2, clearing my cache, switching off my firewall, disabling my antivirus, disabling one of my two GPUs, and everything else that's been suggested in the forums but nothing seems to be a permanent fix. After the fix for the Nov 9th patch it worked fine up until yesterday with the new patch, and gw2 works fine for me up until there's a new Beta patch to download. I just don't know what else to try other than checking my DirectX, but I don't understand how that could be the issue if it works in between Beta events and for every patch other than a Beta patch.

I eventually managed to solve it *facepalm

 

It seems like Gw2 and Micro Trend are at odds... I uninstalled it and now the patch is updating, weird how it was working in between patches😅
