[NA] [PvX/WvW] [Eredon Terrace] Ether recruiting competitive/semi-hardcore players

Ether is a smaller guild made of experienced and returning GW2 players . Historically, Ether has been a roaming/havoc WvW guild, made of strong PvPers trained to understand tactics and to fight as a small group. However, we are currently waiting for the WvW restructuring before seriously getting into WvW again. At the moment, we do about 60% PvE (in preparation for the expansion), 30% WvW, and 10% sPvP.

Note: We are most active from 7pm - 11pm EST during the week, and throughout the afternoon and evening during the weekend.

 

What we do

• Daily fractals (T4): We run daily and recommended fractals everyday around reset time (7pm EST). 
• WvW (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday): In the long term, this will be our main game mode. We want to win outnumbered fights and make an impact via skills and strategy, without having to run with a zerg. Read below for more details.
• sPvP: We enjoy competing in arenas, and some of us aim to climb up the rank ladder. We also think that sPvP is the best way to improve at PvP, which in turn helps us get better at fights in WvW.

...and a bit of everything else, depending on what's happening

 

What we offer

• A nice balance between a competitive but relaxed atmosphere (real life comes first)
• Experienced shot-callers for group PvP content
• Guidance for newer players 
• An active Discord (we hang out on voice comms on a daily basis, around evening time)
• A chill and tight-knit group (quality over quantity; we don't want to grow too big)

 

What we are looking for

• Players with a desire to learn and improve at the game (but we don't expect perfection)
• Represent our guild — we want players who will consider Ether their home guild
• Be present in Discord voice comms to listen to instructions or shot calls when needed (talking is optional)
• Have at least full exotic gear and working towards ascended gear (even better if you are already full ascended)

 

Our goal in WvW—What are we currently working towards

Our goal is for all of our guild members and recruits to be ready and competitive in time for the WvW revamp. That means:

• Be in full ascended gear in a proper roamer build + WvW infusions
• Be good at PvP — win most of your 1v1s and/or be able to survive most of your 1vXs; know your class in and out
• Understand WvW tactics, objectives and PPT
• Know how to effectively use sieges and how to place them for a defense/offense

Note: As we get closer to the WvW revamp launch, we will restrict our guild requirements to recruit players who mostly already meet the criteria above.

With the launch of EoD tomorrow, our guild will be fully focused on exploring the new content, but we are still recruiting and would love more peeps to discover EoD with 😄
