Firebrand Axe damage

I've not found anything this, but I can't imagine I'm the only one.When using an axe with my Guardian/Firebrand the est. damage listed upon the hot bar is the exact same damage listed within the hero page. This reduced damage is not reflected on any other weapon, on this, or other characters. For example the damage listed on the hot bar is often 60% (give or take) higher then the hero pages with other weapons, except the axe.

• This only effects my guardians axe skills. Regardless if it's used alone or with an off-hand weapon. I am not using the free axe given to the Firebrand.
• Power does effect the hero/hot bar damage. Condition damage is also adjusted. Tested by removing and replacing various gear.
• Damage done to targets also appears to reflect the reduced damage, so it's not simplify a tooltip misreading.
• Damage is still increased or decreased in the same ratio as other weapons vs. varying armor ratings though.
