Is there some kind of new even more lame mesmer build?

The last couple of days I have been fighting mesmers that all they seem to do is spawn pets and run around in circles. They seem a lot more tankier and none of the attacks from either the mesmer or the pets seem to hit particularly hard. I dueled one on a point for literally like 90 seconds + and was getting hit a lot and my health was barely moving and I was having a hard time even landing any attacks. Now the pet spam obviously has been with us for months but this build seems tankier and less hard hitting and even lamer if its possible because if your facing really bad players you can hold like 2-3 of them indefinitely they can't pick out the real mesmer half the time and the mesmer is tanky enough to last forever.
