Now the idea for GW2 SPvP would be...

Use SPvP versions of Guild Hall maps https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_hall to host GvG (and maybe even an optional GvGvG setting) battles to the death/last guild standing... Guilds can use it whenever. There can be an ongoing guild ranking tracker. SPvP gearing is in place. Use whatever reward systems. The entire Guild Hall map is used. No timers. No circles to fight over. Again, to the last guild standing.
