How to correctly use Griffon?

Im trying to do the Griffon Adventure on the Festival but I cant get to the fourth checkpoint (the big ascension) I usually go to the first one, dive using v then flat to get to the second one and when I reach the third one im out of momentum, what Im doing wrong? thats the last achievment I need for Festival achiev completion and its driving me crazy not being able to do it :(

when you are diving, make sure you 'dash dive' aka flap your griffon's wings once on the way down. this boosts your momentum to the max. when you go back up, flap again as you go up :)
