[NA] Looking for a new home (mainly for PvE)

I used to play a lot of GW2, took a long break, and recently came back to the game. I play alone 99% of the time, and wanted to change that, so I'd like to find a guild.I'm interested mostly in PvE, but don't mind some sPvP or WvW from time to time. I would love to try raiding and CM fractals, as that is the only content I haven't experienced yet. However, I don' intend to be a metagame fundamentalist and chasing only end game activities, I enjoy off meta comps and doing whatever, as long as the group is having fun.

What I can offer to a guild:

• All 9 classes capped with elite specs fully unlocked.
• I have two sets of ascended gear for each armor class, and all ascended weapons, so gear isn't an issue. However, unless it's exclusively required, I would like to focus on my mesmer (with full diviner for chrono and full viper for mirage), which is my main, and my ranger (full berserker for soulbeast and full harrier for druid) or thief (full berserker) as my alts.
• I'm fairly competent with mechanics, I used to pug T4 fractals everyday, and I enjoyed soloing some bounties. I could use some practice with my rotations tho, since last time I was up to date with the meta was a long time ago.
• A friendly presence and will to help when needed. I like to profess tolerance to everything except intolerance =)

My only requirement is that the guild isn't too over-crowded.

I'm male, 30 years old, and can speak English, Spanish and Russian. I'd prefer an English speaking community tho. Besides GW2, I'm interested in music (used to be a metalhead and still enjoy it, Nightwish is my favorite band of all time, but in the past few years I've started exploring many other genres), literature, photography, and all types of humor. I'm playing from Argentina, so my ping is usually around 160-190, but that has never been an issue.

Hiya! You might be interested in the guild I lead, Café Solidarity. We're a PvX guild that focuses mostly on PvE, with some PvP and a little fledgling WvW going on. While we don't have an organized group for CM Fractals, we do have a regular Raids And Strikes (RAS) Training Group that has worked its way through Wing 4 and is starting Wing 1.

Your name is quite familiar for some reason but I'm going to make you an offer anyway. ;)

I think that you might like my little home. We're called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a very small (approx 55 members), 18+, casual/semi-casual, social and close-knit, PvE family on Tarnished Coast. As long as you're on a NA-based server, you'll be able to tag along with us in our adventures; we don't do any serious participation in WvsW. Our current peak time tends to be in the mid-late evening EST (UTC-5), starting around reset, but we have a few others who are around from a variety of other time zones as well. We try to have a mix of scheduled events and random things during the week according to what folks want to do. We also love helping both new and returning players get back on their feet.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it's dungeons/Fractals, builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we'll have fun regardless.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you'll be away, and all is well.

We do not demand 100% representation.It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We also have a Discord, where everyone is expected to use the text channels to some degree, but the voice channels are never required.

In order to maintain our "quality vs. quantity" aspect and help build the family-like atmosphere of the guild, we require an application. This application asks only for basic information to help us try to organize things to fit around everyone's schedules and takes just a few minutes.
