Cursed Shore: Event Bugged?

I have spend a lot of time in the Cursed Shore - Azabe Qabar, the Royal Tombs over the last week, waiting for the ever elusive "Escort Explorer Loana to the Reliquary Vault in the Royal Tombs" event which chains to "Defend Explorer Loana while she searches the tombs for Orrian artifacts" and finally "Protect Explorer Loana and defeat the Risen King" but this event does not seem to be spawning.

There have been quite a few people hanging around waiting for this event as the "Risen King" holds a component needed for the Legendary Tier 3 collection - in my case, Bone Meal for the Kudzu III collection.

This doesn't seem to be a known issue in the tracker or in the forums, but everyone in the map seems to be aware that this event never spawns.
Thoughts? Fixes?

I've done that event many, many times. It may be stalled on the map instance you are on. You can try guesting with hopes of getting into a different map instance, or wait until the next release (next Tuesday), which will reset all maps. Also, Teleport to a Friend, if you find someone in a different map instance.

Thanks - I am stuck in IP .138 and I can't seem to get into any other IP. Other players have been saying the same thing. I will persist!

How about Anet just go through the events that aren't working on all maps and fix them?

The database is in dire condition.

This is just one event that is 'stuck' but there are dozens across all maps.

In a perfect world...with unlimited manpower and resources and all bugs that waved little flags so they were easy to find.

In the meantime, suggested practices are what we have to work with.

I also noticed while I was roaming Cursed Shore waiting for this event, that the event "Help Lightbringer Palfinier reach Meddler's Summit" also seems to be bugged and I wonder if these events are related?

I will get an 'orange slice' icon notifying me of a nearby event while I am in Meddler's Summit, but when I WP over to Jofast's Waypoint, the event summary in the right hand side of my screen tells me that Lightbringer Palfinier is down and needs to be revived... but he cannot be found anywhere and the event icon on the mini map disappears when you go to the spot that I was originally notified. So, so strange.

I cannot seem to get into any other IP other than the 138 one so no way to find an active Loana event right now.

https://youtu.be/GCkhrNdxDjAFigured out how to embed a video! I am showing what IP I am on, the fact that Explorer Leona is not in her usual spot (and still wasn't this morning whne I checked in), and then the weirdness that is the Lightbringer event over at Jormag's Waypoint.

I'm currently going through the same issue. Keeping an eye on this thread for any updates.

A guildie who needed this was able to get the event to spawn right after evening reset yesterday. Folks might want to try immediately after reset to see and hopefully after tomorrow's patch might be another good time to try.

Yeah, I heard from another player that they saw Leona right after reset as well. I will have to wait until the weekend to try this theory though. The daily reset is at around 10:30am my time. Stupid full time job getting in the way!!

Try after the update today. Any stalled events usually work after because all old map instances are closed.

I honestly think the longer a map is up the more that goes wrong in a map and wish Anet would force close every map every 4hrs if it is the only one open. Doing this shouldn’t affect HoT/PoF metas.

Your input has actually led me to wonder why I have never been kicked out of a map like that window that will pop up on less popular maps saying that the map is closing and asking if I want to volunteer to move... and considering I don't seem to be able to get any other IP other than 138 (which, I am again in as we speak), it makes me wonder if that is the only instance they are running for Yak's Bend? (I actually have no idea how the IP system works, or how many IPs there are for each server/region, etc so I am only guessing).

Oh and yeah, logged in, and the same events are still doing their same exact nothing.

There’s no division apart from the fact NA, EU and China are all separate. All PvE maps work as a Mega Server. WvW maps are segregated to the match ups, but they are also reset fully (completely closed and refreshed) on a weekly basis.

Well, this morning after the new Daybreak patch, I have fallen into a new IP (yay!). I am in IP 68 and I can already see changes in the map (e.g. different mob spawn locations to 168) but as yet, still no Explorer Loana. Will keep watch and keep this thread up to date.

So, Loana showed up on IP 68 at 6.20am (UTC +10.5), and now her other NPC's are here! I am hopeful!

EDIT: I should probably explain. The event failed because Loana died trying to get into the vault. Turns out Loana goes after every mob, but has very little life/armor. I have read somewhere that she has a 30min respawn so I am waiting by her NPC's (displayed in pic linked above) who weren't here before.

Also, a friend of mine fell right into IP 68 as well, so it doesn't seem random that I happened to fall into that IP.

Event success!! Loana re-spawn after 30 mins after her death and I got a group together to go into the Vault with me and finally got to defeat the Risen King and get the stupid Bone meal for my Legendary Collection! Fixed?

Wondering if anyone has had trouble triggering the events with Rakkan, who drops the Experimental Ooze needed for the Colossus crafting? I've been there two days in a row now and waited ofr over an hour and tried everything I can think of to trigger it properly.. :(
