Sustain as a Holo

Hey,

Im new to engi and idkhow to sustain as a Holosmith in Spvp.I Play The Standard SD Build.The Dmg is insane and i Know how to But i have a Hard Time surviving out of 1v1.

Just Looking for some tips to Stay Alive longer.Condis are The biggest Problem with The SD Build there are Not many ways to cleanse them...

Appreciate every help and every tip for defense and staying Alive !

If you're using the Healing Turret, the toolbelt skill Regenerating Mist creates a water field and you can use combo finishers like rifle 5 Jump Shot or Holo Leap in Photon Forge. Both of these skills are leap finishers. The main difference between using leap finishers and blast finishers in water fields is that leap finishers heal you more than blast finishers, but they don't heal allies which isn't something you should be focusing as a Holosmith.

When it comes to fighting conditions, your best option is to use sigil of cleansing and the Inventions specialization instead of the Tools specialization. Inventions increases the number of conditions you can cleanse with the Healing Turret from 2 to 3 and this goes for your teammates as well because granting them protection also cleanses conditions from them.

How big is The dmg loss if i Switch from tools to Inventions?

It's not too big of a damage loss, but it is noticeable. You shouldn't worry about the damage loss if you're fighting against mostly condition players like scourges or mirages as the improved condition cleansing can help you out a lot.
