I'm having this issue today, too. Haven't played in months, but wanted to check in today. Unfortunately, the launcher won't even update itself. It sits at 0KB downloaded, occasionally flashing the "Connection error(s) detected. Retrying..." I've tried all of the advice on this thread. I've deleted my local client and tried a fresh installer from this website. I've tried forwarding the TCP ports listed here:https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015788327-Configuring-your-Router-and-Firewall-Ports I've tried changing my DNS server to 1.1.1.1. I've tried using "-assetsrv origincdn.101.arenanetworks.com". I've tried using an IP found via nslookup on that same address. Nothing is working. The launcher refuses to download anything!

Day 4. Still can't complete quest, stuck on the same step. Still no acknowledgement from Anet. Very frustrating as a returning player. Guess I'll check back again in another 6 months and see if this is worth playing.

The step "Stop Joko's other loyalists" is impossible to complete. The Loyalist NPCs in the quest area don't appear to be flagged to contribute to quest completion, or the appropriate NPCs aren't spawning. I've read this was a bug in the past, and it could be worked around by finding another instance of the zone. However, I don't think this zone is populated enough to spawn another instance, so it's stuck in bugged condition. This is disappointing, because I've been away from the game for a few months and came back because I heard there was some cool storyline stuff recently. I was planning to spend the whole weekend catching up on the episodes I missed, but an hour into play and I'm stuck.
