Dialogue is at least better than EoD, still could improve

Can't you just melee with a range weapon?
IF this ends up being a ranged weapon, can't you just stand in melee range as it is with other ranged weapon when stacking?
I'm just worried that the swords might not generate a lot of LF. It seems they're focus on health utilization instead.
Maybe it'll be like gunsaber and does more in melee range? Could be interesting if the life force generation required melee range but the other effects were ranged

I feel like that would just be too similar to mesmer's OH sword, and not lend itself well to necromancer's riskier playstyle
Who needs block when you're a master of death?
Maybe a riposte without the block, scaling off how much damage you took?

I main a Reaper, I am excited. If it's doing what we think it is, that'll be nice. GS is cool, but I don't like how clunky it is and a bit of distance/mobility is nice. Axe is cool, but not amazing. Whichever this replaces in my kit, I'll be happy.

Stick is good, stick stonk. It feels good to hit thing (support weapon).

I want the weapon mastery to expand more. Since day 1 the idea of just adding more weapons for classes has been around, and some weapons are woefully underutilized. How many classes use swords or greatswords? It may actually be all of them. 3 use a rifle. We gotta get those numbers up.
And I've wanted to build The Predator for years and don't have a class to use it on. I'd really like to use it on an elementalist some day.

Man, I'd love some more synergetics mount skins. Like, the Griffon as a jet would be cool.

I'm fine with an expansion just giving us what we want. I wanted it, how could I not be happy?

Loving the combat blog, I've been waiting for weapon proficiencies to expand without an elite spec since Heart of Thorns. A little sad that I'm still not getting the Rifle Elementalist I've always wanted but double pistol guardian might be cool.

As has been posted/stated many times, the Devs are not required to post in one particular venue. Each is allowed to post in their favorite, or not at all.
One can use the Dev Tracker to follow posts from more than the Community Manager, whoever that may be.
My god. That's an awful system. They really need a policy on this stuff.

Twitter reaches a wider audience
I wonder about that. In Canada at least, my company found out that twitter is mostly used by people in one city so we're cutting back our presence on there.

Yeah, it's an embarrassment in this state. Necro is better at using weapons than the bladesworn.

Having played a lot of Reaper Necromancer, I would disagree that a gunsaber and 1 weapon set even matches my versatility, let alone surpasses it. Frankly, unless they turn the gunsaber into something they weapon swaps normally without the F1 key then I don't really see a reason to lock warriors into 1 weapon set. It's not like bladesworn is strong enough for that to break anything.

They all seem to have issues with being clunky, weak, or just not being what a decent chunk of the playerbase wanted. I really hope there's time to fix them.

I think spying could be a cool feature, but it would need to be developed, maybe have masteries, and a way to be barred from further spying in that match once discovered.

Gotta agree, I'm not really seeing the difference between them.

I highly doubt that anet is going to design an entire new weapon for the spec at this point of development. They will adjust what is already there, but not design something completely anew.
Toss an auto attack with decent range on it and I'll take it.

The flow is definitely awkward. The saber is fun, pulling it out isn't.

The skills seem alright for the most part (I still wish pistol was MH).
My problems so far are around the gunsaber. We're locked into that and another weapon in combat, and that's OK I guess (I'd rather have it as a 3rd weapon all the time, but I can live without it). BUT, if it's acting like my permanent 2nd weapon set I don't want to have different keybindings to make it swap like another weapon, being on F1 is making it super clunky. Only being able to use Dragon Trigger once I've swapped to gunsaber is also really clunky. Number and meta and everything else aside, those 2 things making use of the gunsaber more difficult than it should be are throwing off my groove.
further thoughts: damage seems kinda low, i can't seem to hit numbers any higher than other specs and the trigger is more difficult to pull off than I anticipated. Cooldowns are too long, even with traits and the elite, and flow takes quite a while to build up. I find it very easy to accidentally move and cancel Dragon Trigger, I kinda expected a rooting more like Deadeye kneeling.

But we already have defensive options, we don't have a ranged MH weapon.

Pistol might have a place as an OH. My initial impression is that it would be much less of a "tacked on" feature if it was MH, that seems to be a currently empty design space that would fill much nicer than another OH. As is, it doesn't really look bad but it doesn't seem to shore up the class weaknesses that the more popular picks do. OH seems to be for utility, and Pistol doesn't do that.
-
I am rather miffed at not getting MH pistol as well. Some people say it'd make the spec to good, but I still want it.

Gunblade looks fun, pistol is way cooler than OH pistol has any right to be, the way it synergizes with existing ammo skills on warrior and all the new ammo skills.
The only problem I have so far is that there's no ranged mainhand weapon to go with it, but that seems to be a personal preference of mine.

I was really hoping for a Rifle as well, still might not make an Ele until we get one. On a different note, seeing how profession mechanics can change with a spec I think an Arcane Gunner that forgoes elements for a single Arcane weapon bar would be interesting, and makes the attunements do something else (modify a few skills maybe, change range, single target or spread, etc).

Expanded Weapon Proficiencies Beta Feedback: Necromancer

I have to second the issue with the auto-attack. throwing swords non-stop is kinda funny but I need to know the AOE on this.
Otherwise it's feeling pretty good so far, doesn't feel clunky like Greatsword, although some of the follow-up skills are a little tricky to pull off with the timing. That might be on me, but maybe the windows are a little short.
