(Compare it to Shadow Arts: Shadow's Rejuvenation) Shadow Arts: Shielding Restoration: It is not possible to run Shadow Arts with Specter at the moment, thus this trait is useless. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shadow Savior: Once again, It is not possible to run Shadow Arts with Specter effectively at the moment, thus this trait is useless. Critical Strikes: Signets of Power: This is a joke. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deadly Aim: Pistol is useless as a power option. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hidden Killer: Outside of weird meme builds, power thief always builds precision and has %100 fury uptime. Trickery: Burst of Agility: Long cooldown and enabling condition that makes the stunbreak part of the trait useless. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pressure Striking: Overshadowed by Trickster and Bountiful Theft even after nerfs. Daredevil: Impacting Distruption: Nerfed to oblivion. Specter: Second Opinion: Completely overshadowed by Consumed Shadows on the aspect of healing.
  2. Can any dev comment on whether if they have a justification for not changing this trait of preparedness and making 3 initiative baseline. Do you think it would make thief overpowered? Would it be bad if people could experiment with build that do not use trickery line, since as of now it is not possible to pick anything else. For example acrobatics etc? Maybe then you can even take a look ar acro traitline.
  3. 300 CD traits and CC that crit for 7 are still a thing. I think the community would be very happy if some people with common sense thinks about changing these cheap and lazy design choices. Maybe a kick to the groin could do 7 damage crit, but an engineer using a rifle made of light should not hit for 15. There is absolutely no excuse for disregarding these problems for this long besides being insufficient developers/company. It is really easy to just take a look and at least say something about possible fixes and changes.
  4. Acrobatics line of thief is essenatially a one trait line(sword steal cd trait), other than that it just provides extremely minor bonuses. Please adress this, try something experimental and if it goes wrong, just revert it. Why is Arenanet this slow to address very obvious simple problems about certain traits? Is it a problem based on their workflow? I really don't see the benefit of being this clumsy when it comes to addressing these stuff.
  5. Holo engi feels really funny now. Your highest damaging skills with zerker amulet and a ton of might stacks hit like 2k. Spellbreakers and necros sometimes don't even care the damage and straight out facetank it. I hope this "groundwork laying" will improve the game in the future.
  6. As far as I understood, they're trying to make DD a dueling spec but it is highly improbable to make a dueling spec without adding sustain and protection (which thieves should not have). I am suggesting some additions to swipe and some changes to traits to make daredevil a close quarter fighter that is based on evades and finding weakness. Keep swipe as it is with 600 range but add a second skill that replaces swipe when swipe is used: Swipe ===> Exploit : Starts in CD (same as swipe), when activated, for 5 seconds gain %10 damage and damaging skills gain 100 range and are "unavoidable"(ignores evade) against your target.If you go farther than 600 range to your target after using swipe, Exploit skill reverts back to swipe with remaining CD. Exploit is affected by talents that affect stealth. Now to the traits: Switch "Weakening Strikes" with "Marauder's Resilience". Rework "Marauder's Resilience": Power to Vitality conversion is a joke. Instead gain an addition %20 damage reduction for 2 seconds against the attacking target when you succesfully evade an attack. (Foe must be within the range threshold) Nerf "Staff Master" power gain to 100 and an additional 100 when wielding staff. Now these changes enables thief to stay in the fight while preventing the in and out playstyle as a tradeoff. Main mechanic here is "Exploit" and you should stay in range to be able to use it as a burst ability.
