ELO systems are actually really good at placing people where they belong. You don't have a problem, you are the problem.

I hit top 25 this season on Druid, it's totally possible if you're good and can deal with the kitten that is ranked.

99.99% of players (most likely including you) will never be at a competitive level where this matters to them. Titles never meant anything so they haven't been 'devalued', just play what you want and don't focus on other people.

As a new player to pvp, I've been having so much fun with the air catalyst build over the last few weeks. Finally there is an approachable and accessible build for people like me. My only request is that they buff the damage on Dragon's Tooth, it feels a bit weak. They could also make it an ammo skills?

 

Overall the meta is finally enjoyable, it's nice to see ArenaNet was sincere about having a pvp balance team and taking the gamemode seriously 🙂

Ah yes the forums, where every class and build is the absolute worst in the game... The issue with DH isn't any of its mechanics, trapper runes are the real problem. Ranger has the exact same thing, albeit a condi version.

Core mesmer is unironically one of the worst classes for pvp along with core ele and engi... dying to it means you don't understand how to dodge a telegraphed burst.

It's a good idea but won't happen (at least not anytime soon). Anet already removed expertise amulets from pvp (deadshot, wanderer, viper, etc.) and the chances of them rebalancing them and adding them to the game are minimal, especially while EoD is taking up their time. Making condi builds take expertise would force them to give up condi damage and avoid condi burst builds, which go against the damage over time philosophy that condis were supposed to follow.

 

On scourge, I think it has its own set of issues related to its class design and I don't think an amulet change would fix that, but at least it might help.

Its a combination of perma stab being uninteractive for everyone else and the fact that the entire build is pressing one button.
