Thanks for all the comments, this community is awesome! I have done a lot of reading and agree this build is bad for open world so am currently looking into the spellbreaker build Erick posted (thanks). I had already started to play with changing abilities but its not enough of a difference so will try an open world build. Is it possible to have a beserker and spellbreaker build on the same character? I have seen the multiple gear tabs but never used them.

Thanks for the info. The bit that sticks out in my head was being targeted by snipers in a story part in HOT and then the bullet leaving a trail of fire which burns your health really fast. By the time I got near the enemy I would have low health and with other melee adds around it was just really hard, probably particularly with this build. What I'm realising is I need to get good, lol, but need a bit of help getting there. When you are melee its normal to have move around to avoid incoming auto attacks? Or is it just telegraphed stuff you need to avoid?

Hi all, posted this in the wrong place earlier so hopefully I am now where I should be! I just bought both expansions and intend to play through both stories before moving on to fractals. I am following this build guide using axe/axe and greatsword: https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Berserker_-_Power_DPS I am struggling with the combat and have done some reading online about this and found this is not like WOW and you have to constantly re position yourself to avoid damage. I am dying quite a bit in the story and I think its to do with this and the fact I am using 2 melee weapon sets. Would I be better off levelling masteries with a gun plus axe/axe? Does anyone have any tips for playing melee or any resources that are good? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi all, Looking for some advise. I am coming back after 7 years and it all feels new again. I want to make a new character that is suitable for end game i.e. useful to a group. I am only interested in PvE so from a quick look online this is fractals, dungeons, and raids. When you create a new character how important are the selections outside of race and profession? Can they be changed at a later date if you find they don't fit your build? Many thanks
