  1. This is the correct answer . . . I'll try both then decide later which one to focus, farm for 30 points on kryta isnt hard. So far I went to FB and i like it.
  2. I'll probably not have those points for 2 reasons.. 1- I just HATE and i mean HATE! with a really BIG caps HOT maps, I played forced because to do some stuff I wanted I HAD to play on that map and my graphic card is weak and I get laggy on both expansion maps, laggy but playable so I'll avoid HOT whenever i can. Althow i enjoy POF maps I do not intend farm for HP there, at least not for main character and so far i still havent decided which class will be my main. 2 - I intend to do map completion only for Tyria and only on my main char so all my chars will probably have only 1 eli spec and maybe not even maxed :). If you can't be bothered to get enough Hero Points to unlock both elite specs, the choice between Firebrand and Dragonhunter is meaningless. Why? Because getting enough hero points takes 2-3 hours at most (and is available via WvW if HoT is sich a big issue), less if you join a HoT/PoF Hero Point train. Getting good at your class takes far longer and limiting yourself at such a basic step means you will never reach your classes full potential. If all you want to do is open world stuff, just got with the elite you would enjoy more. Both DH and FB are meta for different things and have different strengths and weaknesses in PvE. DH is a very strong power damage spec spec, FB has a lot of hybrid support, healing and condition builds.I see, i think i'll go for FB i meant to leave my guardian more for sup, the dps I'll leave for warrior and elem. I really like the sword/shield style on guard xD, in this case will be sword/axe/shield and scenpter/focus/shield. Yesterday i tried the sup signets build tanky and i really like it. Thanks for the help.
  3. I must admite that I'm a little frustrated about grf, I thought it could fly and all and i always seen people flying with their griffin but it only fly if you are on a high ground and even you are he wont rise :(, I dont think really worth going through all that huge quest and work to get this mount. Feeling of wasted time.. ;(. If I knew I would've done the skyscale isntead cause THIS one I am sure fly. Feeling of 250 gold and time wasted :s :s :s "But griffon can't actually fly..." This only happens after unlock the mastery III right.

  5. My content is pratically 80% PVE and the rest I do for dailies only, in GW2 I'm a big fan of the PVE content in GW althogh the system here is really good pvp and wvw but I most play PVE. And yes i was testing FB and the mechanics are a little complicated but nothing compared to engi and elem mechanics i really enjoyed the axe as main weap but the utilities are kinda complicated. Currently i'm doing condi build (fire), today im going to test tanky and power dps and i like the core guardian and if I go FB i'll probably keep the core ulties.

Feeling of wasted time.. ;(. If I knew I would've done the skyscale isntead cause THIS one I am sure fly. Feeling of 250 gold and time wasted :s :s :s Well, about that ... Griffon is fantastic when you have a bit of height and want to cover distance fast, it's the "jet plane" of mounts. It can rise almost as high as it dove if you combine the dive with a space bar tap, level out, then hit your rise key. Skyscale is the "helicopter." It can rise up (slowly, or a bit faster if you hold your move forward key while looking up), it can hover, and it can head out a good ways horizontally (fairly slowly). But it has a sort of invisible dome over it so the further you get from your launch spot the lower your max height is relative to the launch spot altitude. ANet doesn't want true forever flight in its mounts.Yea if i knew all that BEFORE i would've go for skyscale instead, because I wont go through all that trouble again for a mount and griffin will be the last mount i do quest, plus i heard the skyscale quest is 3+ times harder than griffin.
  7. Can somebody explain me the difference between DH and FB please? more about traits and utilities, which one is ''better'' on what and etc. I tried both eli spec on PVP DUMMY and I kinda liked FB but I dont know how good they are pve because UNFORTUNALLY there is no way to RESET hero points(wish they had at least for eli spec) and I dont want to ruin one more character and waste my points on the wrong spec because last time i went to Renegade for Revenant tested PVP lobby and all then when outside the thing was TOTALLY DIFFERENT from wat i expected, the dmg wasnt the same, had to farm for more points for utilities etc etc and I ended up DELETING and LOSING my character by going to the wrong spec. So this is why im asking here before, as the game does not offer any kind of 'ticket to test before use points' for eli spec i wanted to know more to not lose one more character.

  9. Would like to know if the mechanics Dive and Rise can only be done after unlocking the mastery ? because I just got my griffin and i think it doesnt work and ...YES the configutation is on default Dive- V and Rise- C.
  10. I mean from lv 1 to 80 of course switching maps etc, I still dont have a main character and I use tomes to speed up the process since the lving here is kinda SLOW. I dont have plenty hours each day to play and explore whole map but.. if the lving process were faster in GW2 i would probably have 100% map completion on all characters I can have total of 6. I think the exp on Caledon is better than any other map but on the other hand tyria has more bosses and i know the location of pratically all, unlike caledon. I just want to make sure and besides all the people i asked also said that Caledon is better.
  11. I was wondering which is the best place to level up a character to 80 I heard(tested myself) sylvari is the best place to level cause their map has the best game exp but, on the other hand I'm really used to human map(I know just like my town lol) I know all bosses locations and etc etc but the exp on sylvari is really good so I was wondering which map should I stick? Like I said i'm really confortable staying on human's map but I can get use to sylvari's too. Or the exp is the same on all maps and this thing of ' X is better' is just imagination?
  12. The game has 9 different classes with many different skills, builds, achievement etc etc, it is IMPOSSIBLE for a player says ''I beat the Guild Wars 2''. By beat I mean to do everything on every single class and achievement, and that includes 100% map and elite specs with every single class as well. If somebody says they do have or even say that the game doesnt have enough content its a lie and they probably want some attention.
  13. And "complicated" unfortunately is very hard to avoid when you try to keep a game fresh and interesting to people for seven years. But even after I unlock there are some kind of 'acquiring' list of gears that I need to buy/craft before get the skin? is this right? and about this '' unfortunately is very hard to avoid when you try to keep a game fresh and interesting to people for seven years. '' Man the game has a HUGE content to keep many lifeless nerds without social life for many hours, months, years in front of the pc they dont need to add anything more complicated than already is now. Me and many other players probably will not do/play at least 30% of the content the game offer, in my opinion there is no need that lot complication because most people doesnt have free time to spare nowadays. Things has changed and nowdays people dont want or dont have plenty hours/days to spend playing anymore, if were like 10-20 years ago that people used to have much more hours to spend I would agree with you. They want simplicity and not complication, I'm 40 years old and i play since i was around 8-10. The more simple the game is the better. I play the game for around 2 years and I don´t know at least 50% xD.
  14. Yo i unlocked the leg part, now i need to level up armorsmith to craft? i also heard its some kind of achivement and gotta do some 'tasks'.. how come???. I wonder why some stuff on this game are SO FKING COMPLICATED XD.
  15. Yea if i knew this before I waste like 60 tomes of knowledge and 1 lv 80 booter would spare me more weeks/months farming for more :'( . Now I just need to find a good guild. I wish i had known about it and done it before i decided to delete my first character when i came back last year. I remember coming back and going blarh this engineer is as bad as i remember ~ delete and then later on trying scrapper on another key leveling character taken to the mists and realized that it could have worked. One thing I learned on guild wars 2 is that there is no such thing as 'bad class', here all classes are good and the game is very ballanced and offer a lot of different builds not to mention the HUGE content for all tastes pve, pvp and WvW. Its so many options that is really HARD to decide which one will be main lol. For exemple I think mesmer the coolest mage but i didnt like their both elite specialization :(.

  17. It's only a problem for a short time. As people have explained in this thread just getting to level 80 will give you enough hero points to unlock all the core skills and traits and then there's more than enough hero challenges in the world to unlock both elite specs. How come? could you explain? Gaining ranks in WvW or earning Skirmish Chests awards you Proof of Heroics which can be traded to a Heroics Notary for a Notarized Scroll of Heroics (Core), Notarized Scroll of Maguuma Heroics or Notarized Scroll of Desert Heroics. Using the scroll completes 1 random hero challenge in the respective area, giving you 1 hero point (for Core maps) or 10 for HoT and PoF maps. Hmm I see .. although I play the game for some time there are still lot of things I dont know and need to learn lol. Ty for the info i'll try to play WvW to get these good stuff, specially for the tomes of knowledge. I need many since the lving here takes kitten long and the level 80 boost don´t give access to elite specialization(still dont know why) what force the players to level or spend their boost to test all... The level boost puts your character at level 80, just as it says. It neither gives more or less hero points. Every level 80 character, no matter if leveled without boost, some boost or a level 80 boost, will have exactly enough hero points to learn ALL core traits and skills leaving only the 2 elite specializations (worth 250 hero points each) open. Given there is a total of 904 hero points in game (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hero_point) and only 500 are needed to learn both elite specializations, you have a lot of freedom to decide which hero points you gather. As noted by others, HoT and PoF hero challenges reward 10 points each, while core Tyria reward 1 point each. Leveling here takes as long as you decide to make it. There are leveling guides which can help you reach level 80 in 1-2 days (somwhat arbitrary since it also depends on your playtime per day). Given there are a ton of instant level items (you get 10 level up scrolls per month), fast experience methods (craffting rewards upwards of 7-10 levels per maxed crafting skill. Some crafts take only a few gold to get to max level https://gw2crafts.net) and experience is rewarded for almost anything, this is a personal issue for you. Do you have any lving guide u can suggest to me? I got some time to play since i´m not working.. if I can make a lv 80 char in like one week that wont be bad for me. There is multiple youtube videos which explain how to level fast. Here is some general pointers:stick to levels close to your character and zones close to your character. That's because experience gained is based on your level or the zone level which you are in (and realize that different parts of a map can have different max levels). If you are level 20, move out of the level 1-15 zones unless you are close to map completing onedo your personal story missions every 10 levels. Those are usually 3-4 missions and will grant 2-3 levels into your next 10 levelsexploring gives experience and rushing through maps can rack up quite a lot of experience without fighting a single enemy. Try to keep a lookout for waypoints, vistas and hero points which all are fast to complete and give good experiencecrafting gives experience and the experienced gained is scaled to your level. gw2crafts.net has current guides based on current ingame prices. As of this writing, cokking costs around 4 gold to get to 400 (which is 10 levels gained), Jewelcrafting costs 9-10 gold to get to 400 (which is 7 levels for your character). If you have been doing dailies, these gold amounts should not be an issuedailies give scrolls of experience, so do monthly login rewards which result in another 10 levels in tomes of knowledgetry to keep gear up to date every 5 - 10 levelsmake sure to keep your gathering tools up to date and gather materials on the wayparticipate in events close by As such, let's assume you just hit level 30. You can do the level 30 story missions, which will immediately get you to level 32-33. Then you can run around the level 25-35 maps (remember, there is more than 1 map per level tier) just unlocking waypoints and hero points which would net another 2-3 levels (without any fighting). Once you are level 36-37, craft a bit cooking to hit level 40. Rinse and repeat. Obviously if you do events or heart quests, the amount of experience required from crafting becomes less. You could also level to 60, then level cooking and jewelcrafting and be close to level 80. Personally I'd suggest to use those levels from crafting to bridge gaps to next story missions, but that is personal preference. Here is the one big one though: do NOT grind enemies. It is literally one of the worst ways to get experience in this game. thanks, now i know why guild wars is one of the best community among the mmos, they are friendly. One addition to the great list: use buffs and consumables . Food and utility consumables usually give a bonus to kill-xp, as do celebration boosters (from login rewards and other sources). If you are in a guild they might have a guild bonus available that you can grab for free (per character, lasts 24h gametime). Use experience and hero banners that other players put up (more often in cities or wvw spawn areas). Each of those give just a small bonus, but it all adds up quickly.I always look for these banners, when there is no then I ask in 60% of the cases people drop them but the guild bonus i didnt know.. I´m not being so luck with guilds in this game either lol. The two guilds i joined one is pratically dead and the others people are 90% afk
  18. the hero points are individual or shared between characters?
  19. Meaning.. has to have a revenant lv 80... Not necessarily - unlocking all five core specialisations requires 300 hero points, so assuming you don't train any utility skills (which would be kind of mad, but doable) you can do it by level 69 I think, or even earlier if you do hero challenges.thanks for the info :)
