It's now 2021. I just heard from my brother that this issue STILL isn't fixed. This should not be the responsibility of the players to troubleshoot, especially not after YEARS. Even a simple fix of semi-frequent checkpoints could vastly alleviate some of the frustration, as this is an arduously long episode. Even after years this story and others like it are extremely relevant to progression; things like this should be among the top priority for developers to address.
