  1. I said this several years ago, but it's still relevant:If they want to nerf condition damage, they need to go back to the framework of pre-HoT GW2 where the strongest conditions often required critical hits to apply. Forcing high-damage condition builds to spec into Precision limits them to a handful of auxillary stats.I think we don't see this kind of shift because the balance team addresses sPvP balance by removing stat combinations instead of tuning conditions to not be busted under any stat combination.
  2. I played WvW almost every day for several years. I retired because of college and the unique build I spent hours saving up money to craft gear for was rendered obsolete by one nonsensical balance change.I see this balance patch as a big step forward to reigning in the out of whack balance in this game, and hopefully with regular retuning, that will be more true. However, while I enjoyed the incredible unique builds I was able to make with limitless acess to gear, food, and utilities, I think it makes playing WvW far more difficult to get into than it should be. Not only do we need to get expensive PvE gear, but we also have to contend with PvP balance that does not account for all of the powerful buffs, runes, sigils, and stat spreads that the balance team fixed by simply removing.I think if I were to return to playing this game and convince anybody from my former guild to return, I would need to be able to play WvW without having to spend hours farming resources to be viable and have the strongest food buffs up at all times. Does using PvP amulets and getting rid of consumables in WvW resonate with anybody else?Is anybody else too constrained by time to keep up with the meta?
