Just promote all your mats to higher tiers, problem solved.

For lower tier mats, it is easy enough to refine into squares or ingots...the only time this gets tricky is with things like bones / scales / etc., but proper planning will help with that.

    Wen T7?

I understand that I need 6, one for each "Vision I: Awakening" vision collection , in my case, I was working on the "Visions of Istan collection", but the ONE USE "Memory Essence Encapsulator" was used for several Items in the collection including "Vision of Dragons: Aurene", Vision of Enemies: Warden Amala. I assume that ONE USE applies to ONE Vision of ... collection, and the Encapsulator disappears after all Visions that require it are completed.

Are you saying you still have 5 unused Memory Essence Encapsulators?

I got all professions to 80 with max crafting skills, farmed some ascended gear/trinkets, but never really liked fractals with that agony resistance stacking, never liked raiding because who wants a part time job when you are supposed to have fun, and never did much pvp because I am hopeless regardless of class. Running after the tag in wvw without an ounce of understanding what to do also seemed an alien concept.

The only way for me to learn ANYTHING in GW2 was to watch AT MINIMUM a 20 minutes long video and spend hundreds/thousands of gold on gear/consumables/runes to just ATTEMPT any of the end game content. Not really the fault of the game, but the fact you are never taught how to play your class (while levelling) before trying said content is a huge design flaw.

So the only thing I actually did was roam the world and farm the occasional cosmetic/ascended gear and stuff. Not really doing pve, pvp or wvw...If that makes any sense.

I feel like MMOs aren't your thing. In any MMO, there are objectives and each player must carry their weight to achieve those objectives.

Investing time to learn a class or join training for raids or fractals or wvw makes you a better player and there is a sense of contribution to what you loot or accomplish.

I don't think that is any elitist mindset, imagine if you buy a car and crash it the first day or leave it in the garage without driving, you don't get to enjoy driving.

There are plenty of great communities who are happy to take newbies in and train them.

I returned to the game in Feb 2020 and now have completed a lot raiding has to offer due to these communities.

    Just play the MMO.

Returning player after about 2 years off.  Running into these strike missions which seem interesting and I’d like to try them.

Can you just join a random lfg for the strike and give it a try or are they like raids where ppl tend to be very toxic if you don’t have the latest dps build and know the mechanics?

There are quality strike mission guides by Mukluk on Youtube.

    Watch them for better understanding.

Please stop changing our camera zoom! I'm not referring to the FOV setting, I am talking about the actual zoom that you control with your mouse-wheel.

This is not new, I'm just finally getting around to posting...

It is most notable at world bosses such as Teq and Jormag. I'll have the camera zoomed all the way out, and then for whatever reason it jumps back in, and I have to zoom out again. It's highly distracting.

I have the collision slider moved all the way to the right, if that makes any difference.

Wow, a simple mouse wheel rotation is distracting to you?

    Seriously?

    Are you sure?

I mean, yes, you can restart Story Chapters that you have previously finished, but Story Chapters you have not?

So, just tried it.  I could only 'Restart this Episode' on Episodes (no matter if I was at the beginning, the middle, or near the end of the Episode) that said 'You have completed this Episode' (over on the side-bar).  Otherwise, my only option was to 'Continue this Episode'.

Start a different chapter and go back to the one you want to restart (which is in the middle) and Press "Quit This Episode".

No, you can't. Not if you have not completed the chapter. The No Quater chapter has five steps (below).... if you have completed Pointed Parley but have not touched Shoulder to Shoulder, it will not allow you to reply Pointed Parley. The replay/restart seems to only be an option AFTER you complete the chapter.

    Pointed Parley
    Shoulder to Shoulder
    Snapping Steel
    Distract, Destroy, Distrust
    Turnabout

Pointed Parley was completely ruined by being released without audio.

*as long as you've completed the story chapter entirely. You can't restart midway through a chapter.

@op the only solution is to use a different character, or finish your play through on your current one, then replay it afterwards.

I restart story chapters midway all the time.

Period. Try it before saying you can't.
