  1. You know when i was little and enjoying gw1 i always wanted gw to become as great as wow. Then the gw2 news came and eventually the game. Sadly i've always felt like they weren't even trying when i was playing the game. Its like i've always lied to myself to enjoy gw2 probably because i enjoyed gw1 so much that i wanted that ''gw as great as wow'' to become a reality and surpass all other mmos. Sad truth is that they killed everything that was good from gw1, for me especially for the change of skills. The combat in gw2 is just ok, nothing revolutionary like people say. No gvg, no faction pvp and they even started the game with no guild halls. Why GUILD wars 2 then? They also got rid of guild capes. I feel like gw2 has nothing in relation with gw1. And in the other hand they did not add features that make mmos great. Simple things like more emotes, dueling anywhere, trading anywhere, being able to inspect armor, etc... make mmos great. Also more races, open world pvp, actual linear quests, and actual tanks and healers. Im still mad that they forgot dungeons. Strikes are dungeons in like, ultra lazy mode? Then they did raids and now they forget them too. And of course the crap loot, there is no place where u can get something that makes you say kitten now that is cool and powerfull. Even getting an ascended is meh. Its all about the skins. This game feels like an sjw fantasy with bad quality lore. The only times i kind of enjoyed the story was when they introduced Joko, maybe the battle with Balthazar and when i saw Kormir again.  But hey its not all bad since sometimes they seem to read its players and make us happy. They added guild halls, guild capes and normal capes, mounts, more emotes and im probably missing something. And they are adding fishing which was something i requested long time ago. And yes i also want this game to thrive and i hope that its like people say and that EOD 1st look is really just a 1st look and they still have many things to show us. But we all know its not probably happening right?

  2. i would only like housing if you could make appear some kind of house like bulma from goku does with her capsules. Like if it was a toy like chairs or tonics you know. I think making housing instanced would make players go away from the main city plazas and would make the game feel less alive. For me it would be ok just to make the skiff progressively turn into a ship u could decorate and that kind of stuff but im probably day dreaming xd.

  3. Which is the easiest method to get that emote? Because im trying to get the dragon response missions achievements but its getting tedious since no one does them. Why cant they just put the new emotes as pvp or wvw routes as they did with /rock or /shiver god dam

I never post on these forms but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY--GET THIS IN YOUR BRAINS, THERE IS A 1% CHANCE A NEW PLAYABLE RACE WILL EVER BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE GAME.  SO STOP THINKING AND POSTING ABOUT IT.

WHY YOU MAY ASK? I DUNNO, use your brain and think about how much work it would be...

ArenaNet would have to retroactively make all skins, all armors, outfits, cosmetics fit a new race model and that would NOT be worth it. We're talking THOUSANDS of skins and items they have to tweak or redo. And that doesn't even take into the account the work needed to flesh out what is required for a new playable race like capital city, starter area, etc.

SO JUST FORGET IT.  STOP thinking we're going to get a new playable race. Good God. It's not EASY and a push a button 1 2 3. No more threads about this. No more posts. /end rant.

So? its their job to work on those things. All great mmos always introduce new races. Having more races would attract more players and would make the game feel bigger.

As the title says, the expansion is more expensive in the EU than in the US. EU players are asked to pay around 15% more than US players. Is there an explanation why?

To go more into the details: The expansions costs in the standard version $29.99 in the US and 29.99€ in Europe. 1€ has currently the value of $1.1807 (ECB reference exchange rates as of today). Thus, the US-Dollar is worth less than the Euro. To be precise, the game would have to cost around 25€ if we base everything on the US-Dollar price or around $35 if we base everything on the Euro price. The difference in value increases for more expensive versions.

''these european fools wont even notice''

Why tengu when the player base clearly prefers fishing.

thats bs, the most requested thing were the tengus and the devs know it. Anyways, reading those replies i comprehend that its not coming ever. I was genuinely hyped about the tengu since everyone was talking about it since long time ago. Sadly i think the only thing im excited about the new exp is the fishing and the new mount. Cus seeing those 2 introductory characters to the Cantha story and the villain tells me the story is not going to be so good :(. I guess ill wait and see what more they have to offer. Thanks everyone.

  7. Are they really not going to implement the tengus as a playable race? Do you believe they will anounce it later on or it wont ever be a thing? Im honestly surprised that they added tengus on some quests and even added the tengu profile pic here on the forums, and they havent said a word about it. What do you think?

It's no secret to everyone that there's an option to have a direct trade between players trough the mail or guild banks but the way it's done is quite dangerous between players. Isn't there a way we can have a new system parallel with the current one? The devs can add achievements to it encouraging players to try and use it and give some more feedback. They can even add a little price for it similar to the commander tag to be able to ask someone to trade with you. The way I look at it, this system will encourage players to trade with eachother just like normal people do irl, the trading post will be facilitated from the current overusage and the current player to player trading will become easier and safer. Also cutting the middle man(the trading post) is always a win for the player. ;) Also it will be a neat feature in Kaineng City to see a trade master who can show you the ways of trading and how to become a businessman.

It would be awesome but i dont see Anet doing it anytime soon. As you can see most people dont like new things and reject everything

New thing? Sorry, but no. This system exists in GW 1. It's deliberately not here because it causes tons of chat spam where players are trying to sell items, and it can get to the point that you can't see anything else but the spam. It helps gold sellers, in that it allows them to also spam chat, and trade with their intended
    victims
, er, customers. It enables a whole new level of trade scamming, and people looking for ways to exploit it. So no, it's not new, it's been around for a very long time, and it's refreshing to not see "buy my junk" in all the hub maps.

it would certainly make the game feel more alive since not a single soul speaks in chat

@Rukia.4802 said:They hated on mounts too, until we got them and ANet put a spin on it, now how many anti-mount posters we have?. Need to drop the "GW2 doesn't need this" mentality, thats how the game stagnates and gets boring. I can't count how many people worked for the legendary fishing pole in Legion, or how many people post they completed the meta fishing achievement in ESO. Its just a fun side activity which ANet would probably more interesting than the other MMOs like they did with mounts.

It doesn't seem fair to me when people say NO to something that they don't even have to participate in, just let others who would enjoy it. I am for it and I don't fish in any of those games that have it because I find it boring, but it sure couldn't hurt the game. I think it would look cool to see some people fishing a pond out in the middle of nowhere having a chat or whatever. Its an MMORPG, not everything has to be combat related.

I think you should be able to cook out in the open world too, with a stew pot and cooking fire or whatever, another option for more cosmetic$, we are adventurers after all. I hate crafting, but doesn't mean I should be against it, cuz others like it.

I know right? they don't want it but don't say what would they want instead of it. They do not give you a solid argument, they only tell you that it is a waste of resources and that it is boring. And if you tell them this they just report your comment. What I have been saying, the rule seems to be not to add for the game but to subtract.
