I'm currently downloading at 3MB/s, maximum and it only stays at that speed for a minute at most.... I've tried that too now, no effect the download is still unbearably slow. It has been downloading nonstop for well over 20 hours now, Installer says now that there are still over 200 000 files left and 1% progress. It's not stuck per se, it does download something and the file amount goes down every time i close and reopen the client, albeit just a little. While it states that the game is playable some areas just wont download, foreground or background and thus I cannot play properly. EDIT: As of now, for some reason the download speed went up and the file amount started going down in real time fashion. Maybe something did work after all, since for the first time I'm witnessing the progress bar rising up and the file number going down. For a 1GB/500MB connection that downloads files from steam well over 100MB/s this GW2 installer is ridiculously slow....

I have tried altering the Hosts file. Its no use. After whole night of 8 hours of downloading it is still stuck at 0% and over 200 000 files left. It has been a week now.

I cannot leave it to download overnight because a) It is so slow that one night isnt enough and b) it always stops after downloading for an hour or two. Just completely stops at 0Kb/s

Ehm, nope? I only found some old threads regarding same issues and used the Ip's listed there. Where am I able to find their main server ip ?

I have extremely good connection but the download speed never exceeds 2MB/s. The percentages wont change nor the remaining files amount, unless I close and re-open the downloader. Is this just the way it is now or is something wrong? I've tried command line -assetsrv 54.84.216.160, and couple of other ones suggested here, but they did absolutely nothing.
