  1. It was through the wall when I came from respawn, so the alternative would have been to stay afk in base, and don't worry about my skill lvl, this is p3/leg ranked games ;) Also: when I port away with worm their sword 3 ports them with me and waiting until it ends would also mean I am dead so yeah :disappointed:

  3. and the issue on top of that is that power revs are not even as squishy as other "burst" classes because of the way their heals are designed and staff evade + sword evade
  4. I agree with the burst part but through a wall with no way to counterplay is not balanced
  5. https://clips.twitch.tv/ObeseHilariousUdonMrDestructoid Edit: After reading all the comments, here a quick statement: the reason I posted this clip here is not the amount of damage, there are other classes that do similar damage. It is the way the damage is being delivered ignoring LOS while having some evades + heal that allow rev to sustain damage better than other glass cannons. Also: some people said I had dodge rolls, this is a clear hindsight bias and I will tell you why I think that: "I came from respawn and the plan was to push in with the team. I am fully aware revs can jump through walls. The question is: should I just predict spam both my dodge rolls everytime I have them ready even behind walls etc all the time I am in their range even if I am behind walls? The answer could probably be yes, and that's the problem I have with this class. The threat of being jumped through walls and bursted like that shouldn't exist in a game that was built around abusing LOS and having good positioning because this completely defies good positioning!" And for the people that said playing reaper or necro was the problem. No, it is not, it is currently one of the meta builds played in high tier PVP. And for the people that said I didn't react fast enough: when you slow down the clip you see this burst took less than two seconds and I got almost immediately stomped in downstate as well which means popping shroud would have made no difference and even if my reaction time for a dodge roll would be 0,5s I would have been finished with the rest of the damage after. Can't even believe I am justifying this as it is clear when you watch the clip. It is not like I could have double dodged and survived. And for those people saying I didn't have cooldowns: if I had worm up and blinked away, they would have gotten ported with me with their sword #3 they used on me so I don't see why people bring shortsighted arguments like that in the discussion. And for people saying I made a huge mistake walking up to them: we just lost the teamfight middle which is why I was on cd and we regrouped close. Then we wanted to push middle to take the teamfight together. You even saw me waiting a little bit to make sure the revs are distracted by my team pushing in so I am more safe. I mean, what's the alternative? - Staying afk close until the revs are actually fully engaged in a fight with my team to then sneak up to the point? - Obviously not. The play to move closely to my team but a little bit behind was correct. No cooldowns, dodges or shroud would have saved me and going alone to a different node or afk on close would have been wrong.
  6. Hi guys, my name is Ventari and I am a former semi-pro Necromancer player for Team BooN and TFL back in the early days (6k+ games on this class), who recently returned to the game. I am currently streaming Necromancer gameplay in the Top50 as well as Daily/Monthly Automated Tournaments either in German or English. The purpose of my stream is to share some of my GW2 experience with you all and bring some attention back to the scene :) https://www.twitch.tv/ventari_ Happy to answer all questions to the best of my abilities! Feel free to come say hi and I hope this is not an inappropriate post! GreetingsVentari
  7. As I said, I was consistently top20 before I stopped with GW2 and peaked Top10 last season as well. I am not the best player anymore but I have a good and fair understanding of the game and you can trust the fact that one needs to learn to counter classes to be this high in PVP so this is not your average XX needs a nerf post. You can be sure that everyone tries to adapt against Revenants and the only outcome is that people just play more of them. Look at the top 3v3 teams right now, also two revenants. If you think I am whiny look at these facts instead, they speak for themselves.
  8. I am a long-term GW2 veteran since beta that played for BooN and TFL back in the days. I have seen a lot: Hambow Warrior, D/D Celestial Ele and other things that were barely counterable.I came back to the game a month ago and never have I seen a build more complete and holistic than Condition Revenant. It offers CCs, Condition Immunity, Blocks, Boons, Sustain while doing damage with the most broken condition in the game that shouldn't exist in the first place: Torment. A game where you have to move punishes movement...let that sink in. Two patches, still no nerfs to Revenant. Developers! This needs to change. Also: I am nobody that dies to a class once and complains it is too strong. I love the game and want it to be better. I am a main Necro and when it was clearly too strong with Signet Of Spite back in the days I called for a nerf too; just as a reference for my objectivity. 15 out of the top20 players are Revenant mains for the last season. The April monthly was literally won by 3 Revenants.Every top team plays 1-2 Revs as an absolute must. What are your thoughts?
