  1. Why would you expect any different OP? The mount licenses have always been an amalgamation of already existing skin types, and a few new models/skins as the 'chase' skins. The purpose for this is obvious, as the base license is RNG based so they must have filler. We're luck that when the first of these license collections dropped, the backlash over them being RNG exclusive was enough to force Anet to make the select license for those who only want a specific skin.

  2. Edit: Original thread got merged so if it's not clear, my response is to Voltaicbore's OP.

    I agree on both points...

ESO's lfg system, while vastly different, automatically teleports all party members into the instance, which is extremely convenient. In regards to TP to friend, they'd still have a place when it comes to open world content (world bosses, metas, jumping puzzles, etc...)

As to your second point, the merge option, while very useful at times, can also be easily abused or accidentally misused. Adding a confirmation step for the commander of a squad to allow or deny a merge would be highly beneficial.

  3. While Tengu and player housing were my top two features I was hoping for, you're theory is just wishful thinking. They've hinted that one of the two will be dragonjade technology related. Also having a playable race as a mastery would be very weird, housing zi could maybe see it but it's unlikely.

I am holding a very, very, very small glimmer of hope that Tengu will be a surprise like the Griffin mount was, but it's a Longshot.

Also I've conceded that I'll just have to buy the new guild hall with my personal guild as a substitute for a player housing experience in gw2.

  4. My initial reaction was that the Asuran represented the player character, but I may be wrong.

EDIT: Nvm while rewatching the livestream they state "who was that mysterious Asura next to Ankha", so can't be the player character.

  5. The tagline of EoD is "Renewing the cycle" , so not sure how Aurene's death would factor into that, unless they plan on replacing every single elder dragon we've killed thus far... which would be moronic at best.

  6. Ascended trinkets have always been in a weird place, since the different types were added to the game separately. Rings were added with the introduction of Fractals of the Mists, along with mystic forge-able backpiece recipes; accessories with the addition of guild missions; and amulets with the achievement rewards rework and introduction of Laurels as a currency.

That said, however, I do agree that Jewelcrafting 500 is long overdue.

But fishing is cringe in general, it is cruel and the oceans struggle with the problem of overfishing nowadays.

It may seem like an abstract comment I know - but if you think about it - why promote that even more? Of course it may not be fish harvesters, just a rod - but principle is the same. I know I have a storm coming but at least I laid it off my chest after seeing countless topics like this 🥵

Not trying to be rude or combative, but your comment is the definition of virtue signaling. Video games have plenty of activities and concepts that are unacceptable in the real world (killing for example), so saying that GW2 shouldn't have fishing because it causes a lot of harm in the real world (only when done en mass) is not a valid argument.

Personally I couldn't care less either way if they added fishing or not.
