Next time get it through the Black Lion Store, I didn't get charged extra using it. The website seems to be adding your country's VAT on top of the price - which it shouldn't be doing, since the price is apparently VAT included.

The 79.99 is, according to the page just before the last one, VAT included - but a VAT estimate that uses Ireland's 24% VAT rate. Since South Africa's is only 14%, the price should not go up, and definitely not by that much. I will see what I can find out, thanks! EDIT: It didn't add it when purchasing through the Black Lion Store so I have no idea what the problem was, but it's not a problem anymore 😄

So I've been trying to purchase the Ultimate Edition of EoD for those sweet, sweet gems, and something weird keeps happening. It says 79.99 all the way through the process until the very last confirmation window, when it suddenly jumps to 91.99 with no explanation. I have no idea what is happening - I thought it might be VAT, but the VAT in my country is lower than the rate they use to calculate VAT before sales, so if the price change was due to VAT it should be lower, not higher. It's annoying because it takes the Ultimate Edition from 'pricey, but sure' to 'hell no'. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal and I just missed it happening when I got HoT and PoF?

Honestly, GW2 is about a bazillion times better than every MMO I've ever tried wrt name availability. I mean, SURNAMES! It's fantastic! All my characters bar one have the same surname, which makes naming them quite easy. Obviously, after six years, Severus Snape is going to be taken, but Severus Targaryen is...unlikely to be taken already. See what I mean? Just use a bit of creativity and you should be fine.
