  1. I would just like to know why they came back with the punitive mechanics for melee players? This doesn't make the slightest sense, people who are melee on the boss are the ones who really help in the progression of the event, because they are in the stack and receive and give boons, significantly increasing the damage of the group.

Why are these people being punished??? I usually play healer in this meta, because the damage melee players take can be high. Many get downed.

The Fort Aspenwood meta doesn't. For some reason, Anet doesn't like to ensure all EoD metas are equally rewarding.

Yeah true, and it makes lamps hard to do sometimes.

At certain times, you need to tag up, because it's hard to find people doing the event or commanders running it.

Also ppl do this event only for achievement or lamps, no more reason to do it.

That one JP chest wasn't the only way of getting runestones. Why are people panicking so hard over a change that got made 2 days ago and didn't have a chance to stabilize yet in the first place?

This is true, we need to wait how it will be, but, im "new" on this game - started playing the game in 2020 - and i've never seen or i dont remember a HUGE spike like that one (remember you need a LOT of this item).

And i'm scared cuz i want to do all soo won weapons XD

  4. I think they could fix it using the new meta.... What about it gives jade runestones? This would cause the spike of jade runestones to become a little lower, and stabilize the price, perhaps.

All other EOD metas give you an unique chest after killing last boss. On that meta event we dont even have it.

  5. When I finished the chapter, I stayed in the part called "Sleuthing a Solution" (where the new chapter will start).

I swear to you, I was looking through my friends list, guilds, if none of my friends were on this part of the story, I was like: "Wait, I must be doing this wrong!" And I kept looking in all the maps for the green story mission icon (while my email box was filling up, due to the black lion message bug) 🤣🤣🤣

Yes it is so poorly implemented that I did not even notice it when it was gone so go without it and you do you

Oh yes, ofc! I just hope you dont get a dc, for example. If that happens, good luck trying to get on your old instance again, since you already start with a bunch of conditions 🤣 10/10 implementation

And yes, my first Gyala Delves meta i did without filter cuz i was playing ham 🤣, usually i play scrapper (spec i use for story), but then i saw melee players dying so fast and i switched to heal alac mech

I did the meta twice with 1 30 recharge from when interacting with it after the story into.

What was supposed to be the problem those 4-5 5 seconds of some conditions every like what 2 mins?

It doenst matter if you did the meta 500 times with just 1 charge, thats not the point.

The point is that this mechanic is COMPLETELY poorly implemented. If, for example, I am on map x, and then I change instance and go to map y and, at that point on the map where I am, it is not a waypoint (not a safe area and is not completed on the meta yet), I simply spawn on the map with a bunch of conditions and a damage debuff and it doesn't allow me to use the waypoint.

This is bad implementation. If, for example, on my map, the meta is taking too long, and my charges are running out, I need to find a waypoint to reach a filter (remembering that, if you receive the debuff and conditions, you cannot use the waypoint , fantastic implementation! WOW).

  8. The new map is interesting, beautiful, chaotic atmosphere... I also really like the new variant of legendary weapons.

As for the meta.....a total disaster. Nothing interesting, there are no new mechanics (except for the joke that is the filter mechanic, they managed to implement this mechanic in the WORST possible way).

I don't need to say anything about the mobs, do I? Wasn't it easier to put the aerodrome training golem as enemies? If you want to make the enemies actions the same as it was done, simply put the design skin of the new enemies and use the aerodrome golem mechanic, it's a productivity gain.

I just swap to scrapper for Aquatic since Superspeed works and losing Alac isn't that big a deal for just Aquatic. I guess the swap to revenant makes sense if the Alac you give saves enough time on the fight to be worth the swap.

Oh ty for tip, that makes sense. Superspeed is incredible there, mainly for the piranha path

Complaining about rifle of all things when the damage is fine in PVE (I proved this on multiple threads)... yet mech has no underwater mech. With a garbage underwater skill in place of the commands that does not provide any boons or condis (the two main mech archetypes are alac via barrier and condi), it cannot provide alac or damage from the mech.

Okay. I see where your priorities lie.

Yeah, this need to be fixed. I have a static for CMs + T4s, and usually we run mirage for cm 100 and mech for the other ones, we prefer mech bc it has might since we dont use healer (high bd). It is VERY anwful i need to swap to revenant just to do Aquatic Ruins.

I don't understand why this aquatic skill. I think if it's to have this skill that replaces the mech, it's better not to have anything.

The engi rifle auto does feel laggy. I completly drop rifle till they change the auto. Either with the 3x burst or hipshot. The one we have now is the worst it ever was.

This section is for Sobx only:

Dont waste your time quoting my comment, Ive stop reading your answer awhile back. Im tired of seeing your quote in my notification.

I agree about the 3x burst is better, but dont tell me hipshot is better than the one we have now. Hipshot is horrible, thanks god we dont have this anymore.

If anet someday change the animation to the old hipshot, i think i will ask for a refund on my legendary rifle skins HAHAHAHAHAHA

  12. I think this has not even been tested, and if it has been tested, it is even more serious. Fortunately I usually play more than alacdps mech or ham (in both the mech is melee). But I keep trying to imagine the pain of playing power mech in a fractal, especially considering the problems already existing in various fractals with the mech.

The animation feels like it's lagging and stopping now, it's very off.

You have the best definition of how bad the new animation is. Yesterday on fractals i got the impression i was lagging! I even looked at how my ping was a few times

  14. You guys should fix mech AI first. But you need to see the bright side! In many fractals, you are ALREADY REQUIRED to use your shift signet to bring your mech close due to problems with AI. At least in these fractals you won't have any problems!
I cant wait to do Skorvald on Shattered, A place where you need to use the shift signet (making your mech not win boons and therefore dps loss) after split.....
Or maybe Amala (Twilight Oasis last boss)? Another place where you need to use your shift signet to bring the mech back once it gets stuck on the platforms above. The platforms are "locked" with a kind of shield, and their mech is there, trapped....
Or maybe Deepstone's last boss? That's my FAVORITE! Often, your mech falls off the platform (yes, that's right, it goes to the underworld to talk to hades), causing you to need to use your shift signet again...

  15. This animation is incredibly bad, it seems something desynchronized, ugly. Yesterday I made Primordus Rifle and, believe me, with the new skin, the autos gets even uglier. You throw some desynchronized fireballs, stranger.

I saw a lot more groups in other wings than w1 too. I bet a lot of this is due to the new machinist meta, not to the buff. From what i have seen so far, I'd say that this semi-afk meta makes raiding way easier than the emboldened buff - which only strengthens my earlier point about difficulty and effort being based on a multitude of things, and not only on that one change.

Agree, the new meta makes it easier to achieve good numbers.
In fact, this is one of the things I like about these low-intensity rotations, they actually allow more people to be included in the endgame content. I'm not defending the balance patch or anything, I think the balance patch is bad. But I don't see a problem with having low intensity rotations that are viable in endgame content, the problem is decreasing the amount of viable classes in a patch that should increase.

There's one more point about emboldened raids: the fact that CM strikes are not an alternative way to get LI.
I'm not criticizing CM strikes or anything like that, I think they are some of the best content ever created. But don't tell me that the new strikes are an additional way for players who don't/never did raid to get LI, right? The new CMs are focused on those who are already in the endgame content, and that's the truth.
We're watching the best guild in gw 2 struggling to finish Harvest Temple CM, and I see some people saying that CM strikes can be a way for non-raid players to get LI, isn't it.

  17. From what I realized this week on lfg, I saw more people raiding on lfg, I saw a lot of training too, with this buff.
A lot of people from guilds I'm part of were starting their walk towards the legendary set, which is wonderful.
I don't have numbers, I'd love to see them, but from what I can see, the interest in raids has increased (finally).

I thought the announcement stated that there are some achievements that cannot be obtained with emboldened mode.

I haven't looked at all the raid achievements, so are all the raid wings covered with this?  As in, there's achievements that are precluded from emboldened mode for every raid wing?  If not, then agree with the above.

Some achievements cannot be obtained in emboldened mode. I think this is ok.
What cannot be done is to remove the LI reward or remove the possibility of making Envoy Collection achievements in the emboldened raid because that would be the main reason that could attract new players to the raid

By making raid armor hard to come by Anet was making it rare and granting it a level of prestige associated with having completed (some of) the most difficult content in the game. By reducing the rarity and by reducing the prestige associated with the armor those who earned it before those elements are reduced have been impacted. You might not feel the impact, I certainly wont as I dont raid in GW2, but neither of us can accurately declare that someone else wont be.

But the change won't make the legendary set like bloodstone dust. Simply because it will only be ONE wing per week. What's the problem with having only one wing per week with the buff? I think it could be at least two wings.
Do the math: for you to finish the first legendary set, it takes 150 LI (6 weeks of full raid clear, HOT + POF), with the buff, to get a full clear, it will take 7 weeks.
This means that to get your first legendary set by doing only emboldened raids, it will take 7 * 6 (42) weeks of emboldened raids.
Do you really think this will "lower prestige" or "make legendary set extremely common"?
Another point, why create a token to prove you made the set before? There are already CM titles for this.

I really don't understand what people who are against the idea of emboldened want after all.
I even think they could add some more ways (as long as they have some challenge) to get LI. An example could be adding a weekly LI for finishing all IBS strikes.

  20. First of all, I'm not crying, I already have all the legendary armors and I don't need more LI.
I would like to know: Why does this invalidate the time you spent?

You keep your armor and legendary achievements, basically what the buff really changes is the DPS check issue, it will be much easier to get a decent DPS with the buff. Which is very good as many people have trouble getting good numbers.

The mechanics will remain the same (including the one shot ones), what will be the difference between making cairn's Jade Heart with emboldened and without emboldened? The number of greens you need to stay, only, as in an emboldened run he will die more faster.

What's the difference between doing Demonic Heart (Deimos Envoy Achievement) with emboldened and without? You still have to go through ALL Deimos phases. You'll still get one shot if you stay out of the dome at mindcrush time, if you're out of some block/invuln source, etc. You will continue wiping on Deimos on you step on the oil non-stop. Dont you think you can survive Deimos Oil even with 50% healing buff, yeah? XD

Honestly, I think what you're raising is the detail of the detail. The positives of the new change are INFINITELY superior to the negatives.

We need more people raiding (it's been 3 years since the last one was released), more people getting legendary armor. As long as the mechanics are maintained, and have a certain challenge in making them.

There's another point you forgot: emboldened raids will be very interesting for training, since you have more healing and damage. That way you can focus more on LEARNING MECHANICS.

It would be SENSATIONAL to see many groups on lfg with the following description: "Weekly emboldened LF Role". It would be much better than the garbage that is raid lfg today, where every week you have to block new sellers just so you don't see their ads.
