  1. Guild Wars 2 is not dead, as a matter of fact it's doing decent compared to it's competition.
The genre however is dying. This new generation of gamers have the attention span of a squirrel, and therefor need the constant dopamine injection.
Guild Wars 2 won't provide that, no MMOs do really.

  2. Also something that should be said is that when the playerbase have strong reactions like this, it should be an indicator to our passion for the game! If we didn't care, we wouldn't comment.

For me personally, I'm more sad than I am angry. I'm sad and also tired of being sad.

It's comparable to being in a unhealthy relationship with someone you truly care about. I try to love you, but I just keep getting hurt. And at some point, I'm gonna have to look out for my own best interests.

I think many would agree on this.

  3. This unfortunately is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I've been coping and hoping for too kitten long now. I just can't no more. I can't put myself through more "4 months" of daily inhaling copium. I'm about to freaking overdose.

These balance patches shouldn't take this long. Any game that's serious about their playerbase has this on top of their prioritizies. Make a balance patch every two weeks or once a month and address 1 change per profession, one REAL change.

I work in software development and if I told my customers after showing them an update to their platform which they hated, that I would just push the update none the less. I would get fired on the spot.

I've been in the backseat trying to get a partnership for my YouTube channel because I'm really passionate about this game. But it's time to speak up once and for all.

Fix your game, personally I almost don't care about content at this point. Just make it fun and playable! Classes, specs and builds are THE content for some. You do realize this don't you?

I kinda disagree, bladesworn in his identity has potential... but things about it need to be changed...

-scrap ammo system imo, therefore new elite.

-make weapon swap avaible and let gunsabre be an "elite" w/e weapon

-overall change charging system, you dont need to be in DT to charge make it F4 or W/E

-F1 F2 F3 are avaible over all weapons and bring you into Gunsabre afterwards eg, gunsabre acts like a kit so you can immediately drop it if you want

-F1 abilities on other weapons are disabled

    -rework utilities

    -rework some traitlines

idk this little approach just out of my head would make this spec more fun...

right now its just linear and spamy

I literally have no idea what you are trying to say here.

    Hi guys,

    New to guardian.

I've seen someone running a guardian with hammer in duels and it did surprisingly well.

Does someone know what the build might be ?

Also, what would be considered the best 1v1 build in Core, Dragon Hunter and Firebrand.

    Thank you 🙏

    Hi guys,

I have moved to ranger as a warrior main.

I'm happy with my learning curve with Soulbeast (power, both gs/lb and axe/X).

I've fought a few core rangers that have high barrier uptime and their pets do a crap ton of damage.

The advantage seemed in their court.

Can someone please illuminate me on what builds they might be running ?

I've seen the current valk core on metabattle.

    Thank you

There's a few different variants you can run. My two favorites are the one Amadeus mention with the Drake, also you can run tiger/owl with axe/dagger instead of longbow for the permanent chill gameplay, very annoying to play against. And your pets do nasty damage.

I enjoyed this commentary. I’d like to see one with your Hammer build too!

I'm so glad to hear that Tulkas! Thanks for responding. I'll make more of these - feedback has been good so far. I can do Hammer next. No problemo! 😁

    Hello all PvPers! 🙋♥️

I've been trying to improve on my DH gameplay as of late. I recorded a couple of close matches because I wanted to look back at what I was doing wrong.

Oh and boy was my mind blown. I made a lot more mistakes than I thought, and I could've easily deleted the video and told no one about it. But I'm hoping this can be both educational to you and to me.

So here it is, the DH Guardian PvP Commentary (Numero Uno?)

Very well made video! This seems good for people who are not only new to GW2 but entirely new to MMO's, since some of it is basic, especially in the first half of the video.  But also a lot of GW2 exclusive info that may seem obvious to us but not a truly new player. Good stuff, definitely the video a new player should see first.

What I would like to see for new players(but already know MMO's) and returning players is an extensive video that explains every drop down menu of the UI, categorically.

For instance explain the differences of what you see when you open the Story tab or the Achievement tab. These can be very confusing since they show similarities. Explain why some parts have a chest icon next to them (not played yet, but not locked) and some are still locked and cost 200 gems. Also how some things are account-wide (masteries you earned, collections) and some are linked to Character (story-lines).  And then we haven't talked about Currencies yet.  And how some collections do not show up under the Collections sub-tab but rather under some other achievement tab..... probably too much to put into one video. 😞

Yeah, this is a huge undertaking, you made a good start with this though. 🙂

Thank you for the lovely reply! 🥰 Appreciate it. And thanks for great ideas on further videos! I've written all of it down, and I will get right to work! I probably would want to section this into multiple videos so it's not too much information at once for the new player to consume. That was my initial idea with the New Player Guide. To go over "everything", but in absolute basics, to let the new player get a grasp of all the core features, but yet not be confused by the depth that is available within all those features. Makes sense? Expect to see more from me soon. 💪

  10. Hello guys! ❤️  There are so many new players coming to Guild Wars 2 these days, with the hot mess going on in the MMO industry right now, both the Blizzard lawsuit and the delays of New World. So, as a content creator I need to take care of these players! How do I do that?
Well- A complete (and updated for 2021!) new player guide is a good start. 😄

If you already play Guild Wars 2 or have friends that want to get into the game, you’re more than welcome to share this guide with them.

I think using “insane” mobility is a bit too misleading as Daredevils will always be on top of having the most “insane” mobility, dodges etc… in the game.

Of course we’re getting more information today on the skills + traits, but just because you see one semi-long dash in the video doesn’t automatically mean they have crazy mobility that everyone should be worried about.

    Just my opinion though ✌️

I get what you were saying. Although I seemed to have been right. Willbender looks absolutely crazy. 😂

I'm into the mobility since it is something Guardian lacked even after Dragonhunter. However, not a big fan of all the punching neither Willbender nor Harbinger. I also find the yellow effects from the Swords to be somewhat disctracting and it is rather hard to figure out much from the trailer. Really curious how the new Virtues will work. 🤩

I think the punching and the kicks look cool, asian style combat flavor fits the cultural theme of Cantha. But I agree that the swords are somewhat distracting us from seeing exactly what skills and effects are being used in the trailer. But maybe that's sort of the point? To hide it a little? I'm pretty sure the cone skill with the blue fist animation replaces F1, and the jump+teleport that smashes into the ground looks to give aegis on impact, so that might be replace F3?

From the trailer, the kick at 00:16 seems to be a stun. They also seem to get Physical utilities, which so far have been mostly CCs for Daredevil and Warrior.

    That is correct!

I made a video yesterday breaking down what I could find of abilities and mechanics in the trailer. It looks like we have a very exciting spec coming our way. And it looks a lot different from DH. I truly believe this will shine in WvW Roaming. Hopefully the traits are just as good. Crossing my fingers for an alac source. But we'll see.

I love hammer and use it lots in WvW, mostly for knocking people off cliffs and such, but whenever I switch back to GS I start winning way more 1vXs and generally performing way better.
I have it a good shot in pvp too, and it’s lots of fun to be sure, but kitten, GS does everything better and more easily.
    Changes I’d like to see:

    - A faster AA

    - Hammer 2 is good, perhaps a slightly longer range, or maybe glacial blow could be baseline would be nice but it’s pretty good as is.

    - Hammer 3 needs to be way more reliable. It should either be wider, faster, or unable to be reflected. The amount of times it buries itself in terrain drives me crazy.
-Hammer 4 needs similar treatment to hammer 3. It needs a way bigger hit box.
-Hammer 5 again needs to be bigger or faster, or it needs to block projectiles, or give a healing or stability or something.  Basically just needs something else, it’s a long cool down and very easy for people who know what it is to avoid or work around.

overall though, I do use it and I have fun with it, but I recognize that I’m taking a serious performance decrease when i equip it.

    Pretty nice 👍🏻

yeah hammer is just meme option unfortunately. There's basically 0 situations where hammer provides a gameplay advantage over another weapon--it's only taken for sentimental/cosmetic reasons.

btw, @Tuen.5641 is in fact the creator of that vid, he just has a different forum name xD

Sshh, now all of the sudden this looks like self promotion 😂😂😂

facts time tho; hammer is outclassed easily. But it’s very fun! And that’s all I’m trying to do.

I'll just want to see some damage numbers again on F1. Remove the stunpart or whatever it just feels bad for everyone to use F1 it's not satisfying for the warr nor for the stunned target. Allowing F1 to have damage would make the Berserker Hammer F1 fun to use as well and open up more build variety. At least that's my opinion and I die on the hill that Hammer F1 should deal massive damage on full adrenaline.

Yeah, just make Hammer F1 be like Arcing Slice.
