  1. Now that we addressed Staffbreaker, time to focus on the other problem child, Soulbeast. It has no counter, and incredibly unfun to play against on any build do to its insane flexibility. Most classes have some exploitable weakness, however Soulbeast has none. Excellent vs conditions, and raw power damage. Mobility, stealth, damage, everything in one kit. Half the class plays itself with the AI pet, its basically like having chat GPT do your homework. Just sit back on your IPAD, play on snapchat and do ranked all with your toes, just letting the pet go berserk for you. Lowskill high reward class. Training my lizard to play ranger.
  2. Not enough healing. Needs more damage, and mobility. Build has zero condition clearing, cant even win a 1v4. Give staffbreaker access to mounts in PvP please.
  3. As time goes on, the direction taken with balance changes are lessening the enjoyment of the game mechanics. Its probably a headache dealing with game balance and it can never be perfect. However. Some of these changes made over the past couple years are very questionable. For example. Electric Discharge trait on Elementalist. 36 damage? really.. Or Rev's Surge Of the Mists- 9 damage? I get surge of the mists has CC baked into it but 9 damage? bro. Team just seems out of touch. Killing builds that existed for years. Like core condi engi. Recently they nerfed tools of all trait lines, removing the cooldown reduction from tool belt. Now you can only burst once every 34 seconds with incendiary ammo to do 50% of the damage a Catalyst can pull off. 3k damage over 9 seconds once every 34 seconds is so bad.. And what's up with Rifle? weapon is so outdated and useless, yet they go around adding more Auras to signets on Ele.. The meta is so defined. It would be really cool if they would undo some of the changes to mechanics that were class defining. When a player is using a core spec like condi endi, or fresh air ele. Just have the trait lines refresh to their prior functionality. And if a player decides to use an Elite spec, then provide the nerfed variants of the core traits.
  4. Can we un-nerf some of the core trait lines please. The new specs are really uninteresting compared to the original designs. Especially problematic in the 2v2 arena as majority of players are running maybe 3 or 4 builds at most. Options was what made Gw2 fun. Being able to create, and play various builds. The Feb patch needs to be reverted. Can we get a petition going.
  5. Returned to the game a couple months ago, only to find a plethora of skill across all classes were atrociously butchered. Specifically skills that have CC tied to them. Now I can certainly see the rationale behind such nerfs, as having a skill with high damage AND crowd control is a mechanical issue in almost all mmo's around today. But to leave like 23 damage (lightning discharge trait for example) on a skill seems a bit weird, and just makes one disheartened as they bask in the nostalgia of what the skill once was. It seems the direction they are currently going (and a popular trend in MMO's now) is this meta tank/bunker where everyone is stacking massive defense. This is especially problematic in GW2 as of late as no one can viability play a glass cannon build in Conquest. This leads to very few build options if one wants to remain competitive. As time goes on build diversity in GW2 continues to dwindle down to about 3 meta builds, and a whole handful of significantly crappier ones trailing marginally far behind. I just hope that with this upcoming expansion the Dev team addresses some of these seemingly "unpolished" PvP changes, and return the fun back to competitive play in Guild Wars.
