They could even create at least some semblance of balance by simply utilizing statistics, if they wanted to devote the resources. They could keep a running, class based statistical analysis of 1v1 arena outcomes and give you bonus for winning statistically unfavorable matchups, and reduce your loss penalties when taking statistically unfavorable matches. Wouldn't be perfect, obviously, but the deeper the analysis goes the more balanced the risk/reward will be. Just a dream. One day an MMO that isn't dying/dead will implement the 1v1 Arena's I want, lol.

I know, it wouldn't be balanced and whatever. I don't care and you really shouldn't either. No matter what it will always be more balanced than having to 1v5 against premade groups as a solo player. So give us solo players duels as a form of competitive, progression PvP and let the premades play with each other.
