Pretty shure this is a routing issue, i just installed exitlag to test and ping is stable at the usual 110-120ms from 300-2000ms without

Try go WvW and fight a zerg/blob. I get consistent 200-ish ms everywhere in the game except when 2-3 blobs fighting in WvW, it will spiked to 2k-4k ms.

"Vanilla" reshade works for me just fine, it's just that adding any reshade addon like ShaderToggler_v121.zip cause crashes at startup. I'm only interested in removing bloom from low post processing preset just to not get blind.

https://github.com/4lex4nder/ReshadeEffectShaderToggler Works for me but you need to find the bloom shader manually. I only use to exclude the UI from some effects.

Do you use pulseaudio or pipewire?

If you use pulseaudio, i bridge my pulseaudio output to jack, and have it output as a virtual device. That way, i can have low latency audio and have pulse playing at the same time with no latency.

If you have pipewire... Well, i went back to pulseaudio/jack combo so... Maybe someone else can help you.

I'm on Pipewire. After several testing, downgrading and upgrading packages I think my problem is related to Guild Wars 2 recent updates. My other games have zero problem with audio. (Smite, Dawn Of War 3, V-Rising, DOS2, Splitgate, Riftbreaker, Mafia : DE, Hades, Railgrade, New World, PES21, Vampire Survivors, etc)

ps. Haven't find a solution for the download at the launcher screen, soon as it get 0kb download I have to close it and re-open it.

That's a known issue related to Anet CDN and corrupted files in their servers. If you want to help Anet maybe you can submit a ticket to them and attach your log file after they email you.

    Still happening

you have to keep restarting the client and download a little at a time till it stops again

It's like they don't want people to download their game.

Still not fixed btw. Experiencing the same issue. The download is stuck at 0kb/s.

Try turn off IPV6 in your LAN setting and then flushdns. Relaunch GW2.
Works for me and some people.

Then again here I am... Same as before, launcher no problem but when loading the character screen/welcome-screen it crashes, I was trying to use any of the GE-Proton version none of them works for me, only lutris-fshack-5+ with DXVK v1.10L other than that nothing not en the launcher, before the last update it was working just fine (at least for me) but now... I guess another partition for windows is in order? I hope not.

    I'm using Lutris-GE-Proton7-38 + DXVK-async-2.0
Works great so far with Arcdps +  Reshade installed.

    I disabled VKD3D Because GW2 don't need it, it's only for DX12 games.
Do you have any GW2 addon installed?  If yes try disable/remove all addon.

Try symlinking the local.dat file from a completely different location, as its possible you have a disk error.

I did try make a new prefix in another SSD and HDD. Same problem.

Well, that's definitely a weird issue to have. 😕

Where are you running GW2 from, Steam or Lutris or something else?

And like the post above me said, it could indeed be a disk error... What file system do you use?

This what baffled me, both Steam and Lutris exhibit similar problem. Lutris prefix located on my main SSD(EXT4), and Steam prefix on another SSD(NTFS).

I tested few other games on Lutris and Steam, all work perfectly. No problem with saving game or settings. reverting to default.

I try uninstalled and reinstall Wine. Same problem.
I tried downgrade Wine. Same problem.
I tried fixed my .wine file permissions. Same problem.

Make sure your user has write privileges for that folder. If you don't, any program you run that has to write something in it won't be able to.

This, ironically, happened to me with KDE when i had a faulty memory module. It would randomly lose write privileges and KDE would go bananas until i "chown"ed the folder back to my user.

I don't know why a .wine folder in your home folder wouldn't have write privileges, but then again, i don't know your entire system, so just covering all the bases.

Yes i have write privileges for that folder and the entire .wine folder.

GW2 have no problem generating coherent dump files and gfxsettings xml there, only local.dat.

Local.dat isn't stored with the other game files, its stored in your Wine prefix, under AppData. This is usually in your home folder by default in a hidden directory called ".wine/drive_c/users/yourusername/AppData", but your launcher program might be changing the location.

    Yes. My current situation

    1) If my local.dat file is outdated, the launcher will show I'm not connected to the internet.
    2) If I delete my local.dat, run GW2, it will show unable to open archive file. https://i.imgur.com/ocbIGOJ.png

    3) If I login into windows, update my local.dat, copy the updated file to my wine ../appdata/.. GW2 can run like normal but the login information stay, because wine unable to modify/write the file.
