  1. So I hit 80 yesterday on my Revenant; was a breeze blowing through the core game. Was excited crossing over to HoT content……and couldn’t seem to go more than 30secs without getting Massacred by something. I thought to myself “ok let’s do a gear change,” (had all Power, Precision, and Ferocity gear on) and went to the trading post and ended up buying all cheap Condi, Vitality, and Toughness gear, was blown away when I’m going up to mobs that massacred me, aggroing 5 more of his friends, and then “tormenting,” them down like nothing. Am I suppose to have a different set of gear for different game modes? When I asked in game someone pointed me to Metabattle and I got on there and looked at their “open world,” builds and gear sets, and noticed NONE of them had vitality or toughness on them.
  2. So I preordered the expansion and was tasked with picking a “main,” to get the boost (I’ve played my guardian up till level 68 so I don’t think I’ll miss much in terms of learning the game.) My question is simple; I Looooove pvp and love the unique play style of the theif; specifically the Daredevil. Are they viable for endgame content, like, Will I be able to participate in end game content? I come from WoW and am all too familiar with having a class and spec I love, that no one wants in their raid. side question; Do I even need to raid to get the best gear in the game or can that be achieved via pvp?
  3. So I returned to GW2 and was looking for the profession i most enjoyed playing and discovered that I have a blast with the engineer. My only question is how are we in the endgame content and pvp? I enjoy being support and don’t need to be some top DPS powerhouse that’s bragging about his numbers. I just want to be someone that can get into groups. I’m still trying to get use to GW2 as I was a WoW player for years; so forgive me if this was a dumb question; not sure if you guys have certain classes that aren’t preferred endgame like we do! (……did, heh.)
  4. Every single MMO I keep getting lost in classes, and in GW2, professions. I can seem to figure out what profession I would be best off playing and with a level cap of 80 I’m afraid to commit to any of them. So far I love playing all of them but the their…..I don’t know if I’m playin it wrong but I am absolutely horrible in pvp; by the way, my main interest is PVP. I'm looking for a profession where I can handle my own in a 1v1 but also turn around and support my group if we get into a big skirmish. So far I’ve made it the highest with a Mesmer (level 37). Loving the ability to run in and drop a group wide stealth letting the low health teammates run off to heal, and letting everyone else reposition. Even though I like PvP from what I’ve been reading fractals and dungeons are fun as well. I guess my question is: I come from Retail WoW, I’m use to being a priest, where I can melt face one day or give my teammates everlasting life the next; is Elemental what I should be? I want a profession that’s kitten near Gawd once I master it. P.S. I’ve only been messing around with “core classes,” until I pick one, so haven’t really played around with the specialization. My dumb butt wasted my “Insta 80,” token on a ranger when I saw he could be “a Druid,” thank you for your guys time
