  1. I agree with everything OP said , I would also like to add as a returning player that everything is as stale as it was +2years ago.

    Mesmer+Necro still dominate/pump out everything in PvE.

    Guardian+Mech still best healers.

    Elementalist is still Memelentalist , but now it has a gun.

    There are.... so many 5+ year old bugs that are still in the game even after all this time.

    I guess there's always next year

    Just the Vault? What about the Skyscale Press 1 for Chest's Fireball Meta's?

    Or the never ending "Chase the Rift" waste of time.

    Or the 0 Social interaction because you mostly can clear everything in AutoPilot.

    I do understand Anet decisions tough, from a business perspective that is , mobile apps generate quite the amount of income.

    I would not be surprised to see GW2 ported to Android / Google Play in 2 to 3 years from now.

    Current/past decisions taken by the team have been disappointing.

    Big Skill issue sorry. There's plenty of tools to deal with CC: Stability,Dodge,Aegis, Blinks, CC breaks , even barrier at some degree can help you survive the damage you'll get during the stun duration.

    If you're not changing your skills at all while you play and refuse  adapting/learning to the situation then its not the game's fault nor the company's fault is fully yours.

  6. I miss this game when I look at GW2 present and future.

    I miss the good combat of it and the strategy value it had both in PvE and PvP. I wont miss Blob fiestas.

    I miss having 75 skills to choose from per profession, but only being able to use 7. I wont miss being restricted to weapon skills

    I miss having 7 customizable (Both Weapons and runes) party henchman heroes that allow me to enjoy a game in a thousand different ways. I wont miss being alone all the time.

    I miss actual professions full of identity and actual uniqueness. I wont miss perma alac/quick boon fiesta.(Remember the unique one stat you only got by being Main class?)

    I miss being a random nobody that nobody has heard of or knows, not the commander of the Power Rangers famous for farming Dragons and Gods.

    I miss actual Boss Story fights like Abaddon or Shiro that I still remember a decade later, I wont miss Zaithan/Pinhatas , I can't even remember the fight against SooWoon at the end of Story.

    I miss Guild Wars, from a game called Guild Wars. I cant find them in Guild Wars 2 tough.

    I miss simple and yet good looking armor sets, I wont miss Shining Wars.

    I miss planning for a Hard Mode map or UW or FoW. I wont miss spamming 1 on my Mech and beat the game.

  7. I saw ele catalyst yesterday at echovald meta, doing 180k , when I checked arcdps the only skill that showed there was Sunspot with burning condition being above beyond understandable this is a Fire Traitline bug. Something to do with Battle tonics too

     

    But they have disabled Weaver spec instead, while catalyst still is playable? 

    Don't get me wrong its something that clearly needs to be fix asap, but feels like they looking in the wrong direction.....once again

  8. Overloads not giving their 100% alac value ,Vapor form kills you, weaver primordial stance bug when mounting , you name it, now this? 

     

    Its been almost 10 hours since you shut the weaver spec down I was online when you did show message ingame , should not take this long to fix some class features but then again this only shows how bug and messy the entire Ele class is.

     

    10 hours , and more to wait for some "minor traits", i've never seen this in any other MMO ever, disabling a class spec for 10hours , 6 years after its launch.

    Yeah they sure do.... against a golem that does not move out from your skills nor its trying to kill you, or has an AOE that kills meele in range and they need to move out of it or dodge it, be it  boss mechanich or simple Red Dot 🙂. So many of you guys just see "Benchmark" and think Ok this is the game.

     

    There is a reason why Mech outperforms everything else in Strikes/Raids and that  is called uptime.

     

    You see as a willbender/elementalist  if you miss your spells, lets say the boss (Anka) decides to jump out of your Purging Flames(Guardian)  or your Primordial Stance(Ele) // or (Minister Li) does his Bladesworn stuff and moves away,

     

    You my friend are going D-O-W-N in dps.

     

    How many skills can Mech miss? Thats right not a single one since all it does is AA and 2 and Jade Mech is a walking Aimbot.

     

    Mech is game breaking period, I play one myself in fracs/strikes for this very reason I am not ashamed in saying the truth, it is far from balanced its actually game braindead breaking and kills any trace of fun or class identity for other classes.

    Also Alacrity+700 tick barrier 100% uptime in 11111111 Mace. Go tell your Ele friend that.

  11. Water trident Its actually a nerf.... lost a healing skill and for what Strike damage that bounces to 2 extra targets? And need to be in water attunement? Wow.....thanks? I guess Scepter is now 100% out of the picture for HAT.

     

    This is all a bad dream and nothing is actually happing right?......right?

    I hate to be blunt but, no it is not , your only source of barrier only comes from Dual Strikes and the traits don't work well with each other most of weaver traits are dps focused or self buffs.

     

    Your water sword skills only heal up to 3 people not 5. (Probably the only skill in the entire game that affects 3 people only), that means in fractals you're not even healing your full party just you+2 party members.

     

    Lack of boons everywhere no alac, no quick, not even 25 stacks of might, which tempest can easily give.

     

    The idea looks pretty on paper but  It lacks consistency and purpose , the damage on viper Weaver is already laughable so going Plaguedoctor not only will cripple your dps but it will also be pointless since you don't even have tools to buff the group why would you want Concentration if you don't have skills that buff.

     

    Hell even HealquickCatalyst seems good when you compare it to Healer Weaver

     

  14. With the addition of Jade Bot Gliding Assist level 3 , I just jump off my Springer and ride my griffon mid-air  plenty of Zip-Lines in EoD too. Never started skyscale collection I feel like I can do better and more fun things in my playtime and in the end its just another mount that is not required for anything, its a premium mount you get it if you want it and if not, nothing happens at all.

    Also once you start knowing the layout of maps Roller/Jackal/Raptor become faster options. I usally see people in EoD meta who use skyscale fall behind.

    While I dont have it myself, I think its the most well implemented mount in any game ever it actually has some story and context, you help them , you feed them, then you saddle them, and then it  becomes your loyal beast, sure some collections are annoying but it is perfect the way it is.

    Its not something that should be buyable from your local stables or just given to you like 95% of the content in this game  😁

    I agree its braindead and boring, but still outperforms many classes.... which kills any reason atleast for me to play Ele again. If I stop in Story to read a dialogue i'll probably die with Ele while as Mech you can read the entire dialogue while ordering a pizza.

    You know he's right. As for the OP topic. I used to play Ele, not anymore tough.

     

    1-Bad class outperformed by every other. Even in terms of Hp/Armor. 

     

    2-Bad class for open world (power builds are bad and non existant). Taggins skills suck aswell animations are way to slow + mobs die too fast.

     

    3-The Damage is trash, piano rotation that will do 20k at most, 30k-35k with Viper gear but..... I would not be wearing full viper with Ele in Open World if I were you ;).

     

    4-You need to know your spells as weaver and not mess up with the rotation.(You know like a charachter from tekken or any fighting game you need to know the entire list of inputs what I mean by this is that you'll be in the practice room for quite a long time until you know what comes after what and your muscle memory does the rotation for you. Expect to die aswell.

     

    Its bad you're wasting your time and you're better off playing something else. It makes your effort look silly and is not rewarding at all to play just the opposite its frustating.

    Also what is the incentive of playing this class while Mechanist is around?
